 Re: [360] - Halo 3
My friend and I just started the co-op Campaign on Legendary, it is definitely a good time. Jumping into Team Slayer afterwards, I had one of the best games of my life. Being forced to play conservatively on Legendary definitely helped me balance out the typical run-and-gun style of online matches.

I noticed this thread is titled with [360] and not [Xbox 360].

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
Much like my experience with Gears of War, I beat Halo 3 on 2 player co-op first. In fact, I still haven't beaten it on single player! I don't know if I ever will. I'm working through it now on Legendary with 3 other guys and 4 player co-op is super awesome.
I don't play online multiplayer much as I'm just not that good. I only play 360 maybe 4 hours a week tops, so I don't get the practice in that all the others do. If I get enough friends to host a game I'll play, but otherwise I don't care to.

I also beat the game with my friend on legendary, but only played the first level in single player! The first month I played halo 3 a ton online, but after that I just found better things to do . Got too much of a backlog of games, plus raiding in wow to play halo 3.

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
My roommate picked up a 360 toward the end of last summer specifically for Halo 3. I have a 360 also, so we had two TV's set up side by side and went through the entire game in coop. Playing 4 player coop (two on each TV) on Legendary was some of the most fun I've ever had playing coop in a game. Funny thing is when it comes to the multiplayer I'm just kind of "meh" about the whole thing. Perhaps it's from too many years of PC FPS games that have spoiled me and raised my bar for what I want in multiplayer games.
Halo 3 co-op is as my Boston friend says "Wicked Awesome".

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
it's weird... my friends and i had a lot of fun with halo 3. but now it's like none of us care for it anymore. especially after CoD4 came out, we don't touch it. guess it shows it was just an average game imo.

Guess it shows Call of Duty 4 is f*cking awesome! Played both of them, and you can't really compare the 2 of them. Halo 3 in Co-op is, just like Halo and Halo 2, really fun. The cool thing is that they've really integrated co-op more than ever in Halo 3!

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
Can you imagine how cool COD4 would be with Co-op support? I read a rumour that Infinity Ward was going to add it as a later download, but I don't think that will pan out at all. Would be so cool though.
Too bad Halo 3 doesn't allow you to populate the levels with an army of brutes and go at it in co-op mode.

I was hoping forge would have that option... sadly not.

TS3 was awesome!! My wife and I played it a TON. Alas, I sold it with my Xbox to get money for the 360...

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
That's a game I never played past the demo. It seemed neat, but the controls didn't feel right. Far too floaty for my taste.
I did really like their sense of humour though. Don't see that often enough.

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
Hey we're having trouble getting credit for completing a few levels. A few times recently we've had to restart a level at a rally point as someone's connection has dropped. After restarting it, if I look at my game on Bungie's site it only gives me credit for part of it, like "Covenant (B)."
I know we beat a few levels before even though we stopped midway. We didn't beat them all the way through at once and I'm sure we used rally points to continue, but we didn't have an issue. Does anyone know what the problem is here? Can't we get full credit if we use a rally point?

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
I had a similar issue when I played through legendary with my friend, at the end of one day we quit after the rally point and came back in and started from there but no legendary award. Had to later go back and do it from the start, not a big issue but I believe a level has to be done through and through to get credit for it.

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
Looks like you're right Reign. We beat the last two levels on Legendary last night, straight through with no stopping. Sure enough we got credit (and a skull or two, bonus!) but now we've got a few missing gaps. We'll have to go back and complete Sierra 117, Crow's Nest, Floodgate, and Covenant. Like you said it's not horrible, but I am disappointed as we "completed" Covenant about 4 times from rally points but still no credit. Its a fun level though, so it's not all bad.

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
I don't think it robs you of the extended ending by not beating them all legendary, but it does rob you of the AP for those who care.

We got the "extended" ending, which if we saw the whole thing wasn't really worth the effort, but no achievement. We would like the achievement so I guess we'll patch up the levels we're missing.

 Re: [360] - Halo 3
So as a question, to a person to finished halo 3 legendary on co-op... on the fight with the monitor (oracle) did he only focus on the chief and leave the Arbiter alone, even after death of the chief? Because I prefaced the encounter to my friend vince that it could be very hard and we'd die a lot, so went in, he killed me in a snap, and then proceeded to fry my body and allow my friend to fire the lazer all he pleased... any similar results?
