Anyone know much about the co-op plans for this game? Haven't read much about it... other than the fact it's supposed to include it in some fashion.

Too Human has 4 player online co-op (sorry no split screen). The combat is going to be specifically tailored to each encounter. If there are 2 high lvl players and 2 low lvl players (Too Human is an RPG if you didnt know), the AI is gonna focus on the stronger players to balance out the experience. You will be able to trade items with other players online also.

That does sound pretty cool. I'm really hoping the mechanics for combat are more than just button-mashing. Potential is really high... hope they do it right.

The lack of split-screen disgusts me.

Is this how fps co-op games are going to be from now on? Its alienating a huge crowd, specifically those with no internet access and those that prefer immediate company.

yeah i would also love to see spilt screen in too human, and i agree more and more games should not leave this out and just concentrate on their online modes, both should be implemented in modern games, to cater for off & online play.
oh and not wanted to sound cheeky but too human is not an FPS :)

3rd person games that are set in large areas don't easily lend themselves to same screen co-op. With a camera that is controlled by the game and the fast paced combat, cameras would be crazy hard to get right. If they couldn't get it right then they shouldn't put it in.

ahh thats true tbh, i forgot about the camera! its meant to zoom in/out/change angles etc depending on the gameplay so your right, this prob would not work in spilt screen

Sooooo, Did anyone one this site get the game? I know about all the bad reviews and everything but I have also heard that for alot people that it is actually a great game too. (I'm just hoping I'm one of those people.) I should have it here in a bit and I'll be looking to play some Co-Op not too long after. If there is anyone that wants to give it a try just add me and let me know.

Been playin it, been lovin it. We'll have our review up tomorrow. Honestly, there's a lot left to be desired in the co-op aspect, but the bottom line is it's damn fun.

Thanks Bap. If I were to purchase this game it would be specifically for the coop so I'm disappointed to hear that aspect isn't the game's strength.

I mean, the co-op is a lot of fun. But the lack of the story in it is disappointing.

But, if you are all about collecting the absolute best loot and gear, and fighting the toughest monsters - co-op is a blast.

Would comparing it to PSO be fair? I loved Phantasy Star Online (PSO) but of course that had 4 player coop.

Yeah it's a pretty fair comparison. Though the loot in Too Human has more variety, and there are more classes in Too Human to choose from.

I just got Too Human last night from Amazon for $50. I think one thing I would have liked to see is an actual character creation screen ala PSO, instead of a diablo-esque "PICK YOUR CLASS" and several starting models. I understand later in the game you wont look alike anymore depending on your loot, but well, yeah, I like customization of characters.

So far, I'm liking it... it does feel very PSOish, which makes me happy because I was a glutton for that game. (logged probably about 120+ hours in the DC version... for me, thats a lot)

beat the single player portion of the game, which I suggest you do before you play coop, so you can get the storyline down without ruining any of the game for yourselves. It's pretty medium/to/short for an RPG clocking in at around 15 hours give or take, but it's got replay value ala diablo 2 for PC. I'm ready to break out the COOP if anyone wants in.

Well, I'm always down for some Too Human, loving this freakin' game. got a 50 bio engineer and a 50 commando, not to mention various levels of alts, lemme know if anyone wants to level something or do runs.
