Well... the demo of the first game was kinda cool, but I didnt buy the game because the campaign was only single player... But this sequel with 4 player co-op is definitely interesting.

I'm in the same boat with you. I'm considering going back and running through the first game for some achievements, though...

I have to say, the video on Live looks pretty damn cool. Might have to bump this onto the most anticipated list!

A must have for me.

The first game, even with it's flaws in terms of story and chunky controls, was really quite good. Mahoosive boss fights, stunning graphics, excellent online play and map size, mech suits and the range of weapons and grenades all contributed towards what was a good game.

ADd in 4 player co-op, customizable characters, new variation in scenery and even bigger boss battles will result in what could be a AAA game.

Glad you mentioned customizable characters. I really love customizing my character in games, and hate that more games don't allow you to do so. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a good example of how much fun it is earning clothes, weapons, gadgets, etc and the unique looks people are able to create.

I am a huge proponent of customization. Whether its cars, uniforms, or even guns (a la SOCOM 3 and Call of Duty), player customization is very high on my wish list for EVERY game.

While playing Saints Row 2 with my co-op buddy, we both got to customize our characters. We did this separately.

I decided to be random with it, and so pushed ALL the possible variables to the furthest point right, chose a male sex and gave my character a womans voice.

Now, this really happened without speaking to oen another about our characters, my buddy created a character which was extremely thin, a woman, and gave them a mans voice!

This is the sort of thing that happens when you play too much co-op with someone. To watch my fat character act out some of the cut scenes proved most entertaining.

And not just that... I got a Live camera and put my own ugly mug on my character! Sadly a lot of the custom items like hats and glasses cannot be used with a custom head, but who cares! Its hilarious and fun at the same time to see myself whenever using the cover mode. Well, that and my technicolor uniform...

I used to use my own face, but I've swapped back to a default. I had never realized that when you use a default face, the character's mouth moves when you speak in the mic. It's neat looking!

4 player co-op + custom characters = SHET YEAH!
I actually miss Rainbow 6, I heard they are coming out with Vegas 3 later on this year. I'll be keeping an eye out for this game because of the co-op.

I watched the movie on XBL and IMO it went from a maybe watch to a game for me to look out for.

Actually I heard it from a buddy of mine online, I haven't done any digging. I should find out about it but I'm going to play my "I'm a libra so I can be lazy" card.

It's my understanding that Rainbow is leaving Vegas for the next story. I hope that comes true. It's time to move on.

i thought they were announcing the release date at E3? can't find a solid release date

I believe I read that it was coming in 2010, so naturally they wouldn't have a release date yet.
