Yesterday's showing made me even more excited than I was about the game originally. I think this gets a bad rap because of Molyneaux promising the world with Fable and not delivering. This time he's been more careful with what he says about things in Fable 2 and I think it will be great.

Just the fact there is no area to area loading is great.

yeah and the offline 2 player co-op with drop in/out play and one button context combat looks awesome!!

Count me in as well. This and Gears 2 may make me try my hand at the dreaded RROD one more time. Maybe.

So offline but no split screen, how many people have lan-ed xbox360s? I mean coming across a computer lan is rare but how many people can this attract?

I always wanted to try Fable, but I just can't finish RPGs by myself. Way back on the NES, me, my brother, and our two friends worked up the ORIGINAL Final Fantasy to the last guy. Unfortunately, we were at the part with the bad guy wizards casting the Rub spell that instantly killed you, and I think it was also the end of the summer so we didn't have the free time we did when we could play games all day with their mom gone, so we never beat it. Anyway, back to the topic, if someone made an interesting RPG where you could join in and help out the party leader (playing through as the main character), that would rock. If Fable 2 does something close, I'd consider thinking about maybe looking into checking it out.

I have Fable...never finished it. I have Oblivion, never finished it. I have Morrowind, never finished it. I have Mass Effect, never finished it. In fact, of all those titles, I don't think I have even done 5% of either title.

My goal is to continue to work on Mass Effect..almost force myself, because I really do like the game characters, graphics, and the story seems interesting. Fable 2 will be one I buy because of the co-op. I wouldn't buy it otherwise. I think it's my attention span.

As opposed to hedon there I have fable (pc) finished, mass effect finished, and both elderscrolls finished, all great games, all great fun. Heck I even finished elderscrolls 2 daggerfall, forget when that was released but way fun. I think they're at least worth a rent, fable games have been known to be short just as a heads up, not too linear though and lots of options, and with these new features should be a winner to me.

Interesting... that reminds me of an interview with the Valve guys about Portal's short length. The guy said something to the effect of "no one plays games all the way through anymore, unless they're 14 or so." Looking at Hedon's age and Fallen's age, the Valve guy might be onto something...

I know I just get bored of the same game types I've been playing for years. I know the graphics are better, but that's about it on some of the games.

I did finish Fable 1 on the xbox, I didn't finish both The Elder Scrolls games though, but that's because I think it is a bit too much of an open world. I've seen Molyneux play co-op with another dude, but I think it's a little bit stupid to let both players be on screen all the time instead of each having their own view.

Site says no local co-op... that's not true though, right?

I am really looking forward to this because I only really play local co-op or multiplayer games nowadays which only ever seem to be shooters and I am sick to death of them now!

I never played the first Fable and the last console RPG I remember really getting into must have been FF8 so I hope I can get into this. Hope the co-op experience is well integrated with the questing and trading or whatever you do in there too

I completed Fable; The lost chapters for PC 5 or 6 times, trying different variations each time.

I saw the Fable 2 trailer for the Xbox 360 off marketplace and I love the look of it. Online LIVE enabled co-op play would be nice though.

i thought fable 2 was going to have both online and offline co-op cause if you watch the video where Molynuex (sp.) brings in the Henchman it appears to be on the same console? Am I wrong about this?

Technically it's not confirmed yet to have online. But they'd be crazy not to offer it.

With all the big MS releases offering online coop (Halo 3, Gears 1 & 2) I think Fable should follow suit. If not, that would totally suck and I'd seriously consider skipping the game.

I thought I read in this month's Game Informer co-op was offline only...

They have only announced the offline co-op. That's not to say there isn't online, they just haven't said it yet. No idea why.

Hi all, after my long absence of work (47 hours a week) I have just been fired, for working too slowly in the factory on this production line. Oh wells, with my pay, I bought a 2nd Xbox 360 so I now have 2 premiums in my house LAN'd via my Router and 2 Switches. Anyway with all working brilliantly and my little brother using his own LIVE Gold membership on the other Xbox 360, I bought a 2nd copy of Halo 3 (collectors edition ) and Crackdown (Pre-owned )

Anyway, this post is just me boasting saying "yay, I'm one of those few people with LAN'd 360s and I'm ready for fable 2" and also informing you that as of my loss of the job, I am available for some prostitution (in other words I'm up for some co-op gaming)

Anybody miss me? I'm back
