I probably won't be able to talk them into buying both map packs (1600 points is a lot just for maps, especially since we only do Horde) but I might be able to convince them to get one. Which map pack is better for Horde mode, Snowblind or Combustible? I'm leaning toward Snowblind just because it has 4 maps for the same price but if the Combustible ones are better, I'll get that.

I like the Snowblind maps Grind Yard is perfect for horde its got high ground and a section with only one ramp up to it, its a blast to play I just dont have anyone on my friends list who has the map packs lol.

I played GW2 on Friday at a friend's, he likes this garage-like map. It's friggin cool I like all the cover available. It's like a mesh of River (a road with a house), the level with a heli, and Halo 3's warehouse like Forge place.

I believe that would be Underhill and yes it is a sweet map.

Just saw on Joystiq Xbox that MS is wiping the cheevo scores of gamers found cheating to earn achievements in Gears 2.

I find it fascinating that with the development of the Achievement system, it also introduced a way for game companies to punish cheaters, though I'm not sure I care that much whether someone cheated to get an achievement. If they are cheating to manipulate or win Live matches, or grief other players, punish the hell out of them. But cheats and game hacks have existed since the early arcade days and seem to be an integral part of the history of gaming. I know I used cheats to reach the kill/reset screen of Galaga back in the day, and certainly don't feel sorry for it.

I'm looking for a 5th player for a Horde game tonight from 8:00pm EST to 11:00pm. My gamertag is Hogwild333 so add me if you are interested. My friends and I play Horde almost every Tuesday night so it would be nice to find a regular fifth player.
I am Hogwild333 on PSN and XBL

Sweet, I'm glad it's still being played. I probably won't be on in a few days since family is currently staying with us, but I'll be much more available after New Years. I'm looking forward to checking out this horde mode I've heard so much about.
