 Resident Evil 5 partner
I'm trying to decide whether to get RE5 for the PS3 or for the 360. I was wondering if there are any 360 player that are getting the game on Friday and would like to play through together. I loved the demo and I can't wait for the full game. It doesn't matter to me if you don't consider yourself to be a good player, I just want to have some fun. Also, I prefer a partner that uses a mic. I probably should have put this in the "meet up" thread, but I didn't.

 Re: Resident Evil 5 partner
Hi,
Got the game last Thursday and have been playing it like non-stop (pepper in a few breaks of GH: World Tour).
First of all the controls are not that great. Guess that's because we have been spoiled by Left 4 Dead. But well its not a game breaker and you will most likely get used to it after the first 2 levels.
However, my oh my this is one game that just screams for CO-OP. I imagine the fun will be ultra magnified with a real human co-op partner.
Reason: the AI sucks, she waste bullets and sticks to the handgun till ammo runs out. Then and only then will Sheva switch over to an alternate weapon. Freaking frustrating in a game where ammo is scarce.
Complains aside the game is visually beautiful and it is blessed with lots of great action set pieces. Really fun stuff (was not such a big fan of the RE series by the way). CO-OP will makes this game really fun as there are some sections of the game where you are forced to work together.
So I will be waiting patiently for the rest of you guys (n gals) to get hold of the game so that we can finally remove the "UN" from UNDEAD.
Come to think of it with all the training we have with Left 4 Dead and now Resident 5, the good people at CO-OPTIMUS should have no problem surviving any zombie apocalypse.

 Re: Resident Evil 5 partner
I'll be getting the game Friday. I am on the east coast and can play pretty much from 8PM to 11PM or midnight UTC-5. I'll be looking for Co-optimus players to go through co-op and also try the merc mode.

Anybody getting the PS3 version? I generally get multi-platform titles for Sony's waffle iron, assuming both versions are equal, but this game requires someone to play with.

dman, I decided to get the PS3 version. Go with that one and we can play. If you get it on Friday then we could probably get some time in before everyone gets on Resistance 2.

 Re: Resident Evil 5 partner
Cool. I played the PS3 demo again last night. It took me one run-through to remember the controls, but after that it was great. I should be able to get it Friday. I will look for you online.

 Re: Resident Evil 5 partner
I was wondering if anyone was looking for a partner-in-crime to play RE5 for the 360? I'll be playing it as much as I can this weekend. So, if you're interested in kicking back with a little co-op, send me a message over Live.

 Re: Resident Evil 5 partner
Picked this up out of sheer boredom, and I have to take back alot of bad things I said about the game lol. The controls while awkward seemed to flow once you gave it some time, the split screen with the two different screens is not as bad as COD WaW in fact you can make out things alot easier than WaW the only fault is aiming at distant enemies can be somewhat of a Hassle.
Also be ready to see alot of repeat enemies from RE4 - Chainsaw guy, Mini Gun Guy, and El Giante.

 Re: Resident Evil 5 partner
The reason u see alot of repeat enemies is because this game ties in different RE games stories, besides how many games do u play and see the same enemies anyways repeats are in almost every game.

Your right Resident Evil is no stranger to repeats but for the most part they changed the way they looked acted etc, the only one that really bothered me was the Minigun guy I was just like ok they are not even trying now lol. I don't fault the game much for it was just something I noted.
