I did not know that this was going to end up on PSN. A fun, quick pick up and play game. Not alot there gamewise, it's simple hex based combat. Co-op is fun when you're playing with someone you know, not as fun when it's a random person.

How is the replay value of it?

There's no coop in this game...? I have it and I'm pretty sure it's just versus. The game is a blast though, I spent a good 4 hours on it the other night. I even made a couple maps where I started off with a week ship, had to sail through a gauntlet of level 3 upgraded cities to emerge from my base to then attempt to collect supplies to upgrade my ship and retake my homeland.

You can play vs the AI. But it's only in the one mode, I can't remember which.

That would be challenge mode, which is single player. Unless there's a way to get a 2nd player in, I'm not sure.

There is coop, we played around with it for awhile one night. You just go to multiplayer skirmishes and set all the human players to one side and the AI players to the other side.

I really wish they had done a coop campaign on the game though. Skirmishes were okay, but some designed missions like the single player campaign would have rocked.

I've been considering getting this game but have been on the fence about it. I hope they release a demo for it. Does anyone know if the XBLA version has a demo?

I really wish someone would bring Catan over to the PSN, my wife loves the catan board game.

Has anyone here been dissapointed with Plunder.. er.. I mean Age of Booty?

I ended up downloading it a few days ago. I enjoyed it. Its different, quick, and easy...all things that I like in PSN games. I can see myself playing a lot, whether alone, in co-op, or against a friend. Good stuff.

Somewhat related, but not really, but Settlers of Catan is officially being brought to the PS3. Its not the same one already on XBLA though, its by a different company. Should be good for some fun though.

(not much co-op play in that unless you are conspiring against your opponents)

Thats actually good to hear. Ive been wanting to try the actual game for a long time. This will be a good substitute for the real thing.

Now all they have to do is put Axis & Allies and Risk games onto the PSN and I will be very happy.

Just wanted to update and let you all know that the Age of Booty free demo hit PSN yesterday. So if you're still thinking about getting it, now you can try the demo first.

this game was great, I just played it 3 days ago and coop in this game is brilliant.

I didn't know Settlers of Catan was coming to PS3. I love that game! Any idea when it will be available?

Settlers of Catan is supposedly out in "2009"

As far as Age of Booty goes, My wife and I liked the Demo so much that we went ahead and purchased the full version. I also downloaded all the free map packs. Its a fun game. I'm enjoying it.

I wish I could play the campaign in co-op rather than just having the computer players though.

maybe we should download the Age of Booty demo tonight to see what it's all about ( although I have to admit it will be hard getting me away from RFoM any time these nights -- I am embarrassingly addicted! )

Im also glad to hear that Caatan is coming to the PS3 eventually. I'll be picking that up when its released.
