Re: [Playstation 3] - Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Two negatives when it comes to online play on the PS3 at least. This didn't keep me from buying it and really enjoying it, mind you, even after I'd bought Lego Star Wars 1 and rented Lego Star Wars II already. The two negatives are:
1. No voice or text chat of any kind.
2. It's very picky when it comes to online play.
I tried several times with a friend to do an invitiation-based game and it never worked. I'm in NJ and he's in Maine so we're not that far away from each other. He would start connecting, but when it should finish it would say Disconnected and he'd be out.
I did for the first time successfully have someone connect to my game when it was open to anyone to connect. The other person helped out for a while and then got bored and decided to attack me for fun. I had the Extra for invulnerability switched on so all that did was slow me down until I booted him out.
It's possible the voice chat could be added external to the game if Sony delivers it via XMB and it doesn't require a patch to the game to allow it.

I played the two original games on the PS2 but don't have them anymore. Considering getting this but not sure...
Is there much extra content on top of what was in the original games?

Re: [Playstation 3] - Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
I played all the way through the first one, and part-way through the second before I bought The Complete Saga.
I still really enjoy playing it and the addition of Power Bricks to the first game along with the remixed vehicle missions (making them not be annoying and easier to play) makes the game more fun and adds even more to unlock.
I'd definitely give it a rent to see if you think it'll have legs but I've been happy with the game. It's a bit cheaper than a regular current-generation game at USD 50.00 but I got it for a bit less by buying it directly from GameFly.
