Just got my hands on BoP the other day, and so far, so good. I was concerned because I normally hate those open-ended games (driving to the start line, no "restart"), but with the # and location of the races, it usually seems to work out okay.

It is very fun. If you check out the front page of this site there's a link to the review on Evil Avatar that Bap and I were a part of. Bap didn't like it as much as I did.

I'm 8 hours in and are thoroughly enjoying the game. There are some awesome coop missions with 350 total to complete. Should provide many hours of online coop.

Add me if you'd like to play.

Not sure if i should buy it. I really liked Burnout 3, but this one has a whole other type of gameplay. I might buy it later when the prices drop.

It's definately a game that has people split on whether they love it or hate it.

I'm one of those people who loved all of the prior Burnouts and am completely enthralled with the new direction they took Burnout Paradise, but I can understand why others wouldn't be so excited by it.

Definately a game you should rent if you're not quite sure. The online play is a hoot.

So how exactly are those Co-op missions?
I can't really see how you'd team up in a racegame...
Other than that, really good looking game, and their commercial has Paradise City from Guns N' Roses, so that's already great!
What should I write here? Probably just replied on someone's post...

The online coop missions are mostly objective based and are not race type events.

Meet at a certain location
Jump from either end of a ramp and crach vehicles mid air
etc...

Of course there are races as well but not in the coop category.

I can't imagine trying to get any more than four people online to do some of the challenges. Just getting people to stay in the same area long enough could present too big of a problem.

On a side note, I'm definitely interested in playing some Burnout with less random people.

Played it yesterday, and what a shame that there aren't any drivers in the cars! Other than that, I must say, it's a great game, the best race game 'till date that I've played  Must-buy for arcade race fans!

Just got this game yesterday as a late birthday gift, anyone up to play? I have no idea how the coop works but I've been waiting to try it for a long time now.

I just got off of a 2 or so hour binge on this game. It's seriously amazing for the price you pay. If you are even slightly into racer's then you should drop the cash for BO:P immediately. The only issue I've come across so far is the trophy's are bugged, for example, I have the 30 billboard trophy, but not the 3, same with the smash walls and a few other trophies. Hopefully they'll fix this next patch.

Shazoo. You must install all the updates BEFORE you play to have the trophies work properly.

Unfortunately, if you want to get all the trophies, you should delete your save data and start over. If you have some trophies that means you have the proper updates now, but you will need to restart if you want to get that 3 billboard one.
