if anyone's looked into the games homepage they may have noticed one of the major graphics artists from Terraria is now working for "Chucklefish Games" (sp?) which is the developer behind Starbound. The games said to play somewhat like Terraria except so much more. I've personally put over 100 hours into Terraria and cant wait for this game.

It's funny, I don't remember how I stumbled upon that game earlier but I saw it and assumed it was an expansion to Terraria. Looks fun, I'll check it out for sure.

the one guy who is doing the graphics was Terraria's graphic artist. Hence why the sprites look alike, also they took a LOT of inspiration from Terraria except its going to be way to the "next level".

Holy begeezus, I just spent some more time checking this game out and its going to be pretty spiffy! Imma little excited. The whole multiple races, planets, repairing your spacecraft, etc... Awesome. It sounds like it's a ways a away from release but hopefully sometime this year.

Just an FYI for anyone that's still excited about Starbound, they started taking pre-orders yesterday. The base game is $15 during pre-order, but Chuckelfish is promoting a tiered approach (similar to Kickstarter) where you can choose a higher tier and get more goodies.

Pre-ordering (at any tier) will grant access to the beta when it becomes available later this year, and will also net you the soundtrack to the game, which is substantial.
