I saw a live demo of the game at the 2K booth today. They didn't have a playable demo setup, but some of the devs were demoing the game to groups of about 20 people at a time. Don't want to go into too much detail here, but from what I saw, Borderlands 2 is looking pretty awesome. I'll go into more detail when I put up my PAX blog post later.

I am so stoked about this release. If you haven't already, play the first one. It was the best co-op shooter released in the past few years. I give it a very stron recommendo. Check out the trailer posted on this site for part 2 and get ready to ROCK!

I'm looking for people to play this with when it comes out. I played the first on 360 but have realized the error of my ways and will need a new group for PC :D

My SteamID is aopie; if you add me please say you're from co-optimus so I know you aren't a spammer/hacker.

Haha I got this for PS3 and it was fine... until I got the GOTY edition for $7.49 on my PC which ripped thru the game performance wise. I had to decide between the two platforms the past couple of weeks and preordered on the PC for $40. Then... I preordered for the PS3 as of last night lol. That's a first for me to buy a game twice... but I'm confident in how good this game will be!

I've been looking everywhere on the web for an answer to this question, and it seems like it is being kept "secret" on purpose? Before pre-ordering, I want to know how Borderlands 2 co-op games will be hosted? It is on my or my partner's PC, client-side like the first Borderlands? Or will it have proper servers like how Valve did with Left 4 Dead?

Does anyone have confirmed info about this or at least know who to ask? I already tweeted Gearbox Software about it, but didn't receive an answer.

@Rok - Just played some more multi on BL2 today, and I think the hosting is done client side. If the host leaves prematurely, then all party members are booted out of the game. I can't confirm 100%, but I'm leaning towards client side hosting like Borderlands 1.

@OpusMaximus - Sent you a Steam friend invite. My ID is JeanH13, or you can go here: http://steamcommunity.com/id/jeanh13

Amazon.com has a pretty good sale on BL2 today. $20 for the game itself, $10 for the Season Pass, or $25 for both in a set.

It's only good today.
