 Re: Dawn of War 2
I heard that this will be playable at PAX.
The concept behind the co-op sounds really cool. Will be great to hear more details though.

 Re: Dawn of War 2
I saw the single player at E3 and I knew it was an instant purchase. With the unique co-op campaign it's even more so. This may actually be one of my more anticipated titles this year.

Same here. Really looking forward to it.
I wish Warhammer: Mark of Chaos was developed by the same people. You could play that co-op technically but you only had 2 maps that would handle 3 vs 3AI and that got old. And a difficult map editor. Great graphics though.

 Re: Dawn of War 2
Watching the panel at PAX, it can easily appeal to the hardcore RTS crowd, as well as go after the casual gamer crowd. Most missions are expected to last between 10 and 15 minutes, and near infinite replayability because missions expire, and there is no way to be able to play all missions in one single playthrough.
There is no base building in single player, just elite troops. The co-op is the single player campaign, just with both elite armies helping each other out. Though, there will be a big multiplayer/co-op announcement some point in the fall, it might change.
Expect the live demo video up at some point, I just need to figure out how to encode the video properly, as well as find a hosting site that isn't youtube.

 Re: Dawn of War 2
I've always liked having to protect your troops and carry them over to later missions. It makes the game 'real' on a whole different level. Kind of reminds me of Myth, except on steroids.

 Re: Dawn of War 2
I'm a big DOW fan, it's been my favorite RTS since release. I'm really looking forward to this one.
My son and I like to play co-op skirmishes against vastly larger (but admittedly dim-witted) enemy armies.
