If you are an action RPG fan I highly recommend you check out this game. It plays like a mix of Diablo and Phantasy Star Online. There is a single player option to the game but the real meat and potatoes is in the multi-player. You can play the multi-player mode by yourself if you want to level up your character or get more gear. Or you can fire it up with a few buddies and have a blast. The game scales the puzzles to how many people are in your group.

One thing that really made this game stand out to me was that theitems are not just dropped. Recipe's and ingredients are dropped from the monsters and you then take them to town to craft the item at a vendor. You even get recipe's for the crafting items such as cloth and metal. The items themselves each seem to have their own appearance on your character once you equip them. This is a minor thing for some people but I really love when your guy changes his looks based on what equipment he has on.

Combat is simple enough that it reminds of Diablo. You run around attack monsters and level up. It seems like every 4 levels you receive a new ability based on what class you picked.

I would recommend checking this out if you are looking for something different to try out. Just stick with the multi-player side as I have heard the story mode is kind of weak.

IMO its worth playing through the story once, but that's about it. The multiplayer mode is more than enough to keep you coming back, even as a single player. I agree, this is a great DS title, probably one of my favorites.

For DS, please tell me that this incarnation is vastly superior to the GC version. I'm taking it that this game is, since diablo styled combat eliminates the screwy almost turn based combat of the first game....worst 5 dollars I ever spent on a GC game :(
