The original profile of Xian Mei, the one that describes her as working on the island to learn about different cultures and people, is totally different from that of the prequel comic. Is one of these correct? It's possible that both are correct in a way, but seeing as I probably won't be playing the game any time soon (possibly ever) I am curious about which background is used. I don't care about spoilers so tell me anything, although it might be wise to use the spoiler tag so it's not ruined for others.
I don't know...? Haven't tried Xian Mei yet.
There hasn't been ANY story so far. Just an island full of zombies to kill. It has less of a plot than Borderlands!
SecretAsianManz wrote:No story at all huh? I wasn't expecting a sweeping epic or anything, but I figured since they went to all the trouble of making a comic for it, there would at least be something. I mean, even L4D had a basic plot beyond "don't die".
BigBadBob113 wrote:Just a warning to all...the patch is out today, but it definitely has at least one drawback. We noticed that after installing the patch, the trophy progress dropped to zero. For example, one trophy requires you to kill X amount of zombies, and instead of being 100+ like it should have been, it was down to zero. So if you're really close to getting a trophy, you may want to wait to receive it before you patch, or maybe even wait to see if they release a patch to patch the patch.
Dear Customer,
thank you for your inquiry.
Since there are currently problems with the server infrastructure, we had to
turn off the multiplayer function. We are working hard on this problem and
hope we will soon be able to provide you with the multiplayer function again.

I tried it last night--- Existing players are not able to connect online. The match making menu has blocked the in game "Game Lobby" menu for a lot of players. I can access it but everything in it is grayed out.

Well, I guess I am glad I am not too far into the game, since it looks like I will be starting over with a new character whenever this issue gets straightened out. Until then, I will be be killing Chimera.
Dear Customer,
thank you for your inquiry.
It seems at the moment that if you have your online settings set to co-op,
your data will not save at all.
Here's a little workaround for this problem:
- Quit your game and restart your PS3
- Log out from PSN
- Change your settings to single player at the main menu without loading a
save game
- Launch the game again and see if that works better. It seems to be the only
thing improving the situation - at least for some players.
If this works for you, don't forget to log out from PSN before your next
gaming session, otherwise you'll be haunted again by the glitch.
Also don't forget to switch PS3 autoplay off if it is switched on, otherwise
you won't get a chance to log out from PSN before the game starts, which is
important for the workaround.
We are working day and night to fix this autosave bug. The second patch, which
will be released later this week, will finally resolve this problem.
We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused.

grommyfrog wrote:But, it's pointless with the save game issues. I would tell you to play through the prologue and just play with it set to single player mode. If you don't go online you should be okay.
BigBadBob113 wrote:So how is the online play going now? Are things still messed up or have they fixed it?

I played with Grommy and another dude on Friday night. For whatever reason, I was able to join their game but they were not able to join my game. However, once we got in the same game everything worked. The game is still buggy, but when you are able to run co-op, it is a blast.
