I'm probably one of the few out there who will say that I am not a fan of Portal, but when a buddy came over one day with his copy of the game we couch co-oped that game over the weekend and I enjoyed it. I didn't enjoy the single player of Portal or Portal 2 but I loved playing through Portal 2's co-op campaign.

I'm the same with RPG's like Elder Scrolls and Fallout - to me, they are the most boring games imagineable! (which makes each of our GOTY's at the opposite of the same spectrum!)

It's great to see co-op improviing your experience with the game though!

The Portal games are so unassuming or something. They don't have all the flash or excitement that other games have.

But it's hard to argue your nomination because Portal 2 is just incredibly fun - and stands apart from other games.
2013 planned purchases:
Payday 2
GTA V
Space Hulk
Splinter Cell Blacklist

It's a unique game set within a rich universe - it's easy to forget its relationship with Half Life.
