Co-Optimus

Today I'm very happy to announce a brand new Xbox Live Indie and PC game.  The game is called SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance and it's being developed by a new studio named Brain Shape Games.  Who are Brain Shape?  It's a studio founded by two childhood friends, one of which...is me.  

For the past four months along with my normal Co-Optimus responsibilities (and real job stuff too) - I've been developing a new game, expanding on an idea I had in a car ride coming back from PAX East in 2010.  Obviously with my love for co-op games, Blue Shield Alliance's gameplay is strongly designed around concepts in co-op gaming.

I really have to applaud the integrity of your decision to not review SCHAR on Co-optimus. You've earned a lot of brownie points with me.

Any chance you'll let some of us play a beta and/or solicit feedback from us?

The game sounds great! But I don't know about the SCHAR part of the title. Not very pretty IMO.

It's a conflict of interest, not an integrity issue.

Besides, why would there need to be an official review? There are plenty of opportunities for coverage, giveaways, and maybe an Official Xbox Live night. And after all that it's still an indie game, which means inexpensive and easy to download.

You're going to buy this, I'm going to buy this. The majority of CoG is going to buy this. No review necessary.

Thank you for developing for at least one other console than the Xbox. I know that the Box gets the most attention, and I know that indie studios are hard put to develop for more than 1 console. So, for all that extra effort, I thank you
