The "limited edition" of Starhawk has been announced, and rather than spend extra money on a giant box filled with art books, soundtracks, and statues - you'll be getting a whole bunch of digital pack ins for the same price as the normal version.  The biggest piece of content included for co-op players is a map called Maw of Despair, which is a particularly challenging cooperative mission for four players.  

What else is included in the PlayStation 3 version of the game?

Gamestop must be giving Sony something in order for this to be exclusive to them. I loved Warhawk but I have such a backlog of games that I'll wait for Starhawk to go on sale. I bought all of the DLC for Warhawk at full price (purchased individually) and then they bundled it all for a better deal. I'll just wait for the DLC bundle this time.

Starhawk has me interested. I hope it has a bit of DOTA in its design with all the towers you can build.

No splitscreen?

Here are some split screen details from the Starhawk forums posted by the Community Manager:

Yes, there will be two-player splitscreen in the retail version. It will supports dual PlayStation Network logins, so if you go to someone else's house, you can log-in as your character, level up, get XP and retain your stats. We even store your controller configuration and sensitivity on a Starhawk cloud, so you can pull it from the server at your friend's house playing co-op.

He still doesn't specifically say whether it will be online split screen (MP or co-op), but I think it is likely since he talks about using your PSN sign-on.

@ kevinclough - Thanks for the info. I'm getting to the point where I don't much care for buying too many games that don't support splitscreen. Imo, there's no reason not to include splitscreen in co-op titles.

I did get final confirmation that splitscreen online will be supported in the co-op mode. I sent the tip into co-optimus but I haven't seen an article on it yet. Here is the proof:
