My girlfriend and I bought this game last night (2 games really - one for each DS = $60) because we really enjoyed all the other LEGO games in CO-OP mode (story mode or Freeplay). However LEGO Indiana Jones fails to offer CO-OP mode in story mode for the DS, and worse it is only unlockable in freeplay mode. So you have to beat the game in Story mode playing solo so you can unlock the CO-OP play in freeplay mode only. Well this sucks for anyone who enjoyed the other LEGO games and wants good co-op play from a game that advertises co-op play right on the package. If the packaging had said CO-OP play was UNLOCKABLE i would not have bought the game. We wanted to play together immediately not after we unlock stupid freeplay mode (which we usually skip in the other LEGO games anyway) SO, I tried to use online cheat codes to bypass the story mode and unlock freeplay and co-op mode. NOPE, after trying every cheat and unlockable code we could find we were never able to unlock CO-OP mode for the LEGO Indiana Jones DS game.
We returned the game the next day.
I hope they dont do this with LEGO Batman too.
