Ghostbusters Co-Op Interview - Don't Cross the Wii-Motes

Interview System(s): Wii
Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo Wednesday 01st of April 2009 04:06 PM

Co-Optimus: Are we going to get some plastic proton pack accessory for the Wii? I might actually buy that.

Dustin: Great question! I have not heard one way or the other for sure. But whether or not an official pack accessory is made, I am sure custom ones built by fans of the movies and games are going to pop up! I am excited to see what people come up with.

Co-Optimus: Will the Wii version have any of the same co-op multiplayer modes as the 360/PS3 in terms of co-op - or just the campaign co-op?

Dustin: Keeping each version unique, the Wii focused all its attention on the full single player and co-op campaign mode, while the 360, PS3, PC versions have it’s own separate cooperative and competitive multi-player modes.

Co-Optimus: What's your favorite co-op moment you've seen so far?

Dustin: Hanging off the side of the Times Square building, blasting away at Stay Puft with a friend is a very epic moment that sets the pace for the rest of the game. I opened this question up to the rest of the team to see what their personal favorites were; here are a few of their responses.

“Competing to see who can cause the most damage throughout the levels.”

“Using the Stasis Stream to freeze all the enemies for new players so they can just dominate everything in sight.”

“Trying to steal ghosts from each other, and wrangle them into our own traps.”

“Hosing down the other player with slime, starting a slime fight!”

“Crossing the streams!”

Be sure to come back next week when we talk with Michael Fetterman from Terminal Reality about the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions!

Almost makes me wish that I still had a Wii. Can't wait for the 360/PS3 version!

It sounds like the Wii version has some great features going for it - I'm stoked!

Also, allowing me to be a female ghostbuster....Red Fly has made my dreams come true!

This really impresses me that it seems they've tried to create a unique experience on the Wii rather than just creating a crappy port or substandard tie-in.

I agree, as that is generally the problem with cross-console games that come to the Wii. The Wii version usually has horrible controls, because the game is designed with the PS3 and 360 in mind, and then kinda shoved into the Wii without taking a close look at the controls. With Ghostbusters, they took a unique approach, making it an entirely different experience then compared to the other system's versions.

I think the article states levels 10-50.
I know Amazon is actually planning on running deals ALL WEEK next week.
Well, you kicked up a stink and now you are getting what you want. Also people modded in dedicated servers.
I'm always up for a game. Add me.
