Nick (bapenguin) has been nice enough to let me promote the ebook I published close to 2 months ago called Growing Up 8-Bit.  The book is available for download from Amazon as well as Barnes and Noble for $2.99.  You do not need a Kindle or Nook to read the book, both sites have clients available for a variety of computing and mobile platforms.  There is also an 8-page PDF sample I have put online for people to look at. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock launched last week with over 90 tracks available on the disc.  While there's a wide range of music, as our review can attest to, there's always room for more.  Until October 19th, Xbox 360 Gold Members can download the Rocktober Track Pack for free.

In many ways, Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock resembles another iteration of the franchise, Guitar Hero 3. Both have questionable subtitles, increased difficulty, and added traditional gaming elements to the established music game formula. Does the latest Guitar Hero stand on its own as a solid game?

Rockstar Games have announced the official release date for the next set of DLC for Red Dead Redemption.  Undead Nightmare, a single and multiplayer piece of content that adds a zombie storyline to the game, will be released on October 26th for the price of $10 or 800 .

Kirby's Epic Yarn was only announced at E3 2010 about four months ago, but the game is seeing the light of day already this Sunday, October 17th.  The two player co-op platformer mashes a unique art style with classic platformer gameplay that reminded our own Sam Tyler of the recent Mario Bros game, minus the annoying knock your friends of the levels elements.

We just told you about a temporary price drop on the "All Fronts" map pack a couple of days ago.  Today, we let you know just how much a digital copy of Gears of War 2 is going for:  Thirty smackers.  Yep, that's right.  $29.99 for those of you skimming this.  (You're missing out, by the way.)  A digital copy of Gears of War 2 costs the same low, low price as a brand new copy of the actual physical media.  And if you download it you get the added privilege of having 6 gigs of your hard drive squatted on.
