We just got a fresh batch of screenshots of Gears of War 3 that showcase the game's beautiful graphics and gritty violence. Not only that we get a glimpse at a full cast of characters - including a new female COG in addition to Anya - though we don't know her name yet.

One of the highlight co-op games this generation was a budget Xbox 360 title called Earth Defense Force 2017. It looked and felt like a B movie of the 1950's with giant ants and bugs, huge flying saucers, and big robots that unleashed destruction on the cities of the world. It was a two player local co-op game with plenty of laugh out loud moments - and it was also a ton of fun.
Like a Robot In Disguise, this one sort of snuck by us undetected. The second DLC pack for Transformers War for Cybertron is now available. This pack is headlined by the inclusion of two new characters for competitive multiplayer and co-op friendly Escalation mode: the Decepticon speedster Dead End, and fallen Autobot champion Zeta Prime. The pack also includes five new maps, two of which are for Escalation mode, "Pulse" and "Static". Though there are fewer characters in this new content than the first pack, it will sport the same price, costing roughly $10. You can check out the trailer to decide whether this DLC pack will stand or fall on its own merits.
It's a good time to be a frugal music game fan with an Xbox 360. Not one, but two demos are now available on Xbox Live for upcoming rhythm game releases: DJ Hero 2 (hitting retail on October 19) and Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock (coming to stores September 28). Each demo has four tracks for you to check out, ranging from The Pussycat Dolls and Kanye West to Black Sabbath and the Foo Fighters. Check them out now, and decide if either game is deserving of your gaming dollar this crowded gaming season.

It's been a few months since we've heard of the Fate of Carmine charity campaign for Gears of War 3. The goal of the campaign was to raise money for Penny-Arcade's Child's Play Charity and have a little fun by having the community determine whether or not the latest Carmine brother in Gears of War 3 would live or die.
It's hard to believe, but Halo Reach is only a week away. Millions of gamers will be getting their copies of the prequel to the one of the biggest selling and most popular video game trilogies of all time on September 14th, 2010.
