Valve Gives the Charger a Tune-Up

Like its predecessor, Left 4 Dead 2's versus mode is something of a anomaly. It exists in a central space that screams "co-op" while it gains the attention of even the most hardcore competitive gamers. Because of its uniqueness, it's not much of a stretch to expect to see many areas in need of improvement.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Quest Mode Details

The big innovation in this fall's Guitar Hero entry, subtitled Warriors of Rock, might just be Quest Mode.  This story-based progression through the catalog of tunes looks to spice up the experience a bit by incorporating more video game standards like character abilities and boss fights.  (Let's hope they are better done than the terrible boss battles of Guitar Hero III.)  We've got a video explaining what makes Quest Mode unique, as well as a fresh gallery full of screenshots.  There's no keytar to be found anywhere, but it does look like it could be a whole lotta fun.

Another character has been revealed after the probably unstable Sniper's unmasking, and she’s likely to put the rest of them to sleep. She’s silent, deadly, quick, and a surgeon with her work - the Assassin joins the ranks of quirky characters in the Monday Night Combat lineup. Better get to her before she gets to you or it's gonna be messy.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Announced for Nintendo DS, 2 Player Co-Op Included

That tiny screen above is what you'll be looking at if you decide to pick up Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Nintendo DS.  Of course, if you have the DSi XL it'll be much bigger.  That being said, Activision has announced a DS port of Black Ops which includes missions inspired by its big brother on the console.  You'll even be able to take control of vehicles like jets and helicopters.
