While you may have already seen the game in motion thanks to the first trailer, these screenshots from Little Big Planet 2 give you a good idea of the graphical upgrade the game has gotten from it's predecessor. Everything looks so full of life and texture, like you could just grab it and pull it off the screen.
Multiplayer shooter Combat Arms has hit an important milestone, one we told you about in our preview of the new version of the game. Right on schedule, Nexon has reached over 200 different firearms available in the game, all usable and purchasable by either in game credit or actual cold hard cash.
This is Kat "Shadokat" Pawlowski reporting in for Marc "Djinniman" Allie, who is facing an unforeseen crisis at the moment. He has fallen pray to the realm of single player like so many around him, playing the Iron Man 2 game (which should have had co-op because Warmachine, duh) instead of co-op. I'm here to share the importance of co-op gaming caused by this single-player crisis.
If you don't know what Rockstar's Social Club is, it's the developers web extension of all their games. It's similar to what Bungie.net is for the Halo games. We've seen integration with Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, and now the latest open world game will join the pair with extended features.
Is there a rarer genre than the first-person brawler? How about a game where first-person melee combat not only works, but feels good? Chilean developer ACE Team's Zeno Clash is an extremely solid experience set in one of the most bizarre gameworlds I've seen in a long while.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was an excellent game by any account, but we couldn't help but feel the game's campaign needed a co-op element. While we won't be getting that anytime soon, EA is bringing us premium DLC for the game called Onslaught. Onslaught is a cooperative mode for four players on Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes and Nelson Bay.
E3 2010 is only a month away, and the Co-Opticrew is already in full "get ready" mode. We're feverishly scheduling appointments, planning interviews, and deciding on coverage of the co-op titles and gaming news that we want to bring you.
For some, Kane & Lynch was a so-so third-person shooter that was only made better as a result of the co-op, even if that rewarding co-op experience was hampered by a lack of online co-op. For many, though, Kane & Lynch will always be remembered for the fallout that resulted from Jeff Gerstmann's Gamespot review. The game's director, Karsten Lund, however, came away with a different feeling about the title - that it was an original IP for which a sequel was worth making and worth making right. MTV Multiplayer spoke with Karsten about Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days and what was on their list of improvements to make this time around.
Today's the day. Skating fans will finally be able to ollie, heelflip, darkside catch, and 360 flip, if Coach Frank has anything to say about it, and co-op skating fans will be able to do all of that with their friends as Skate 3 hit the store shelves today. To celebrate the game's release, we've got a special giveaway for one lucky community member. Want to know what it is and how to win? Keep reading after the (hippie) jump.
The day is finally here, after months of coverage, you'll finally be able to get your co-op paws on Lost Planet 2. Gracing the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game features four player online co-op as well as 2 player local split screen through the entire campaign. You can find all of our coverage of Lost Planet 2 right here.
Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter continues the story of Sam's adventures through time, and is a remade version of the original title in the Serious Engine 3. Devlolver Digital have gone and added a handful of new co-op modes as well as online versus modes to the package. So how does it play?
