As a regular cell phone user, I am always intrigued by unique sounds for my phone that make it stand out in a sea of other cell phone ringtones. Major Nelson's blog seems to agree that unique sounds are important, and who doesn't love game bytes? The  Borderlands mascot character Claptrap will now be making a nice home on my cell phone via the Claptrap Sound Bytes that are available for free personal use on the Major Nelson Blog.

Psyko Audio Announces Unique 5.1 Surround Sound Headsets

We've covered various headsets on this site before, something we feel is pretty important to cooperative gaming.  Sound quality aside, we think voice capability and functionality is a big part of what makes headsets the ideal choice for online co-op gamers.  Headsets are adding more and more features, and becoming more and more versatile.

Gear Up with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Gameplay Details

The wait for a new Ghost Recon game is almost finally over, and Ubisoft and Red Storm are taking the opportunity to make a number of significant changes. [Update] Dead Rising 2 Gameplay Vid Shows Off Co-Op, Tricycles

Zombies - they're every where these days, yet gamers just can't seem to kill enough of them.  Amidst the excitement of Left 4 Dead 2's The Passing DLC release, Game Informer has posted some new gameplay footage of Dead Rising 2 that features two Chuck Greenes taking out the zombie hordes cooperatively.  How, you might ask?  How about running them over with tricycles?  Does that do anything for ya?  The video is short, but it definitely had me laughing at the creative ways players will be able to team up to put the undead down for good, and itching to try some of these methods out with a friend.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 Co-Op Preview

Earlier this week, we got a glimpse of Super Mario Galaxy 2's co-op mode in action from a screenshot taken off the official Japanese site for the game.  While it wasn't much to go on, we were, never-the-less, hopeful that the second player would have more to do this time around than just shoot stars at enemies.  Joystiq.com recently had the opportunity to get some hands-on time with the co-op mode, and it sounds like our hopes weren't entirely unfounded.  In addition to having more direct interaction with the enemies, your star buddy will also be able to more directly support Mario in his adventure across the galaxy.
