Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2 Details Reveal 2 Player Co-Op Will Return

It was only yesterday that the embargo on Capcom's Captivate event lifted and news about what Capcom has in-store for gamers over the next year was revealed.  Included in this bevvy of information was the announcement that Bionic Commando: Rearmed, the remake of the classic NES title, would be getting a sequel, though it wasn't clear whether or not the sequel would also include a two player co-op mode like its predecessor.  Well, Capcom has released the official details and it seems that not only will two player co-op be back, but it will also be "better than ever."  While that's all that's revealed about Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2's co-op, the rest of the details offer some possibilities for how the co-op could be improved.

Game Center Brings Leaderboards, Achievements to iPhone

iPhones, iPads, iPods, they are everywhere you look.  The ubiquitous devices are totally ingrained into modern culture.  (If they'd just lose the AT&T exclusivity, I'd ingrain one into my own personal culture.)  But will the iPhone really take off as a gaming platform?  That remains to be seen, but recent announcements indicate that Apple is serious about gaming on it's devices.

Outfit Your XBL Avatar with Gears of War 3 Gear

It's been an exciting couple of weeks concerning Gears of War 3, what with the game's reveal, trailer release, and (the most exciting for many of us) the announcement of 4-player co-op! April 2011 seems suddenly painfully far away, but perhaps you can find some satisfaction in clothing your XBL avatar in Gears of War 3, er, gear. Microsoft is offering T-shirts, hats, full body armor, and a cute (while also feeeearsome!) ticker pet for your avatar, ranging from 80  to 320 . You can check the full list out on the XBL marketplace.

Of course, all of this takes place in a world full of Spartans and Spartan technology, so we want to know how these things work in a practical setting. GeneralGames.ca had a hands on preview recently where they played the multiplayer mode and got to try out some of these phenomenal changes in the Halo universe. Are these things to look forward to? I'd say so.
