Yesterday, we brought you word of a new Nintendo DS co-op title, Dragon Ball: Origins 2, that is slated to hit stores this summer.  Today, we bring you the first trailer for the game, which shows off a bit of the co-op challenge mode in action.  Based on what's shown in the trailer, it appears that players will be able to use special co-op attacks to take down bosses and other foes when they team up for the challenges.  Here's hoping this mode is as much fun as it appears to be, and doesn't go down the same path as other titles with these types of challenge modes.

It's a busy weekend at Co-Optimus HQ.  Many of the staff will be working on upcoming reviews, which by my count is 5 in total, and many will be checking out Betas.  While others will be jealous of said beta, there's plenty of other gaming to be had.  

If you downloaded the first piece of the Resident Evil 5 content called "Lost in Nightmares" you're getting more than just 2 player co-op play and new outfits for your characters, it contains the classic Resident Evil camera found in the earlier games of the series.

Namco Bandai announced yesterday that the latest in the Dragon Ball series of games, Dragon Ball: Origins 2, will be arriving State-side this summer and, best of all, it'll be arriving with co-op.  The single-player portion of the game will revolve around the adventures of Son Goku as he takes on the Red Ribbon Army, while the co-op portion will be a separate piece that's focused on specific co-op challenges for two players.  Players will unlock these challenges through progress in their single-player campaign, though hopefully there will be some challenges available to players from the start.  Keep reading for the full press release as well as a few screen shots from the upcoming title.

Courtesy of Impulse's "Weekend Impulse Buys," you can buy the PC version of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel for half price this weekend, meaning $15. This is a game that we thought had a pretty solid co-op experience, so if you're looking for a game to tide you over while all of this Diablo 3 information continues to tease you, Sacred 2 might be worth your while at this great price.

 Atlus has revealed that Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition is set to launch on Xbox Live Arcade next month.  The game is a port of the independent PC title Zeno Clash which launched in April of last year.  The game is actually a first person shooter brawler, something a bit like Mirror's Edge.  

The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo is available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 wannabe combat fighters until next Thursday. We take it for a spin and try to gain a little dev perspective.

After hearing that Diablo III would be featuring both genders for each class, we have been expecting a whirlwind of news to come pouring out. We were right. The Barbarian class has unleashed the first images of the female warrior, as well as a general profile for our enjoyment.

SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 was released this week on the PSP, complete with four player local and online co-op.  But if you want access to any of the game's online modes, including the co-op and versus modes, you're going to have to jump through a few hoops to get it.  Why? Sony says it's to combat piracy.

Namco Bandai has just unleashed an assault of new media on us for their upcoming Ace Combat title on the PlayStation Portable.  Ace Combat: Joint Assault is a four player co-op aerial combat game that features a unique co-op mode called the "Joint Assault Mission System."
