As Microsoft's X10 event continues, more and more details about Bungie's upcoming Halo title are (ahem) coming into reach.  The official start date for the Halo Reach multiplayer beta is May 3.  If you have a copy of Halo 3: ODST, you can participate in the beta.  If Bungie follows the pattern for the Halo 3 beta, it's likely Reach will be versus multiplayer only, though we here at Co-Optimus are holding out for a Firefight-like mode as well.

There's new screenshots of Crackdown 2 straight out of Microsoft's X10 event.  There's two new things we've learned from them.  The first is the game's pre-order bonuses - four colors of exclusive agency armor.  

It's been some time since Left 4 Dead 2's first DLC was announced.  Called The Passing, the new episode would be a passing of the torch between our heroes from Left 4 Dead 1 and the squad in Left 4 Dead 2.

Microsoft's X10 event is underway, and the first bit of co-op news is confirmed.  Perfect Dark HD will launch this coming March as part of a new promotion called the Xbox LIVE Arcade Block Party.

Capcom continues to add characters to Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Reunion mode, this time taking from Resident Evil games of the past.   Making their return from the original Resident Evil are Barry Burton and Rebecca Chambers.  Both characters are included in the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 5 which goes on sale next month.

 So PAX East isn't even here and GDC is a few weeks away, but you're still clamoring for some news from an upcoming gaming convention.  You crave the next big announcement, you need to know the next awesome co-op feature, and you challenge the industry to wow you with something innovative.

One of the biggest gripes that many co-op fans have with otherwise excellent co-op games is that you can only play cooperatively with friends online.  This is no good if you like the warmth of another human being and want to play games on the same TV.  The latest news from Capcom should help appease this sociable sort as they confirm in Japanese game magazine Famitsu that Lost Planet 2 will have splitscreen co-op.

Short and sweet - we've got four new screenshots of the eight player co-op action title Brink.  Developed by Splash Damage and published by Bethesda,  Brink looks to be a big hitter for co-op gamers when it launches this fall on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

A Borderlands update has added 250 more GamerScore to the game, bringing it's total up to 1500 points.  The achievements will be added with the Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC and they confirm a few things that have been rumored for some time.

One of my all time favorite crazy games is Typing of the Dead, a game that blends House of the Dead with Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing.  Yes, it's crazy - and it's crazy addictive for geeks like myself.  Developer Epicenter Games looks to release a spiritual sequel to the genre, with a game that combines Guitar Hero style gameplay with House of the Dead style action.  Enter Rock of the Dead.

Fairytale Fights gets its first DLC on PSN tomorrow, February 11th. The game, as you might recall, is a brutal hack-n-slash featuring all of the fairytale icons of your childhood dismembering each other in extremely bloody ways.
