A huge variety of games are on tap for the Co-Optimus staff this weekend. Mercenary duos, a few superheroes, post apocalyptic action, green glowing ghosts, and flame breathing flying reptiles sound like a pretty good mix. What are you playing?
Falling somewhere between "retro," homage, and parody, Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond does manage to recount a few golden gaming and co-op memories, but it also reminds one why the past is some times better left alone.
Along with the above box art, Capcom has released a trailer for the Resident Evil: Gold Edition, which launches this March on the 360 and PS3. The trailer showcases the two episodes, Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape, both of which follow longtime series heroine Jill Valentine.
We have long been intrigued by the kaiju-like bosses in Lost Planet 2. After viewing the latest trailer, featuring a spider-like, tentacled, horrific monster oozing thermal energy while appearing to swallow a rather enormous cannon, we think Sigmund Freud might find it interesting, too. Just over two minutes of video, including a cut scene and a fair amount of actual gameplay, have just been released for your viewing pleasure. The prospect of four soldiers working together to take down a boss has our co-op sense tingling in anticipation. I do wonder, though, if the developers might be compensating for something?
The next big expansion pack for AI War is out, titled The Zenith Remnant, it contains a ton of new features, units and more. It's absolutely massive in size. Listen to these numbers: 122 New Ships, 14 new ship classes, 12 new AI Types, 40 minutes of new music, a tons of new maps.
