The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai to Feature 3 Player Co-Op

If you don't know what The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai is, here is a brief refresher. The game was a product of Microsoft's XNA platform, which allows indie developers to create games. The game was also part of Dream-Build-Play and was available in demo form for a limited time on Xbox Live. Well, Xbox360 Fanboy has news that the game will feature 3 player co-op. The details are from the blog of the one man team behind Dishwasher, James Silva. Having played the game, it seems very impressive for a game consisting of a one-man dev team. I'm also excited about the co-op capabilities, since the single player mode was pretty epic.

Rock Band 2 Achievements Detailed

For some rockers, the glamour, the money, the groupies, and the fame are enough to keep you playing.  For others, well, achievements can be a big incentive as well.  A good part of teh Rock Band 2 achievements have been revealed, and they look quite well thought out.  Some will present a serious challenge for even future Rock Hall of Famers, which was something the first game sorely needed.  Here's a highlight to illustrate the difficulty we're talking about here:

Viva Pinata 2 to Have 4 Player Online Co-Op?

Some great news for co-op fans has popped up, and it's almost too good to be true.  A list of achievements for the upcoming Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise has been revealed.  In addition to your standard gardening type achievements, similar to the first game, there is a rather intriguing one called "Full House".  Worth 10 Gamer score, the achievement is unlocked after you "Play 4 Player Online Co-op for 1 hour".  If the list is legitimate, this is serious news, as 2 player local co-op was all that had been announced so far.  Fire up the cameras and get your watering can ready!

Crackdown 2? Possibly.

Like many Xbox 360 owners, I am a big Crackdown fan. So, recent news regarding a possible sequel for the supercop simulation game got me interested. In an interview with Videogaming247, Realtime Studios boss Colin Macdonald said that Crackdown 2 could be a possiblity. While the team is currently working on its next game, All Points Bulletin (which is essentially a MMO version of Grand Theft Auto), a sequel to Crackdown is not out of the realm of possibility. So, nothing confirmed, but at least the door is not shut on the possiblity of a Crackdown 2.

Too Human "World Serpent" Screens - Game Length Discussed

With Too Human right around the corner screens like these seem like a big tease.  It's nice to finally see some new enviornments though.  From what we can tell from the info that came along with them, the "World Serpent" is some huge mile long battleship in the game.  Whether it's a level or a boss or simply part of the mythology is yet to be seen.  For now enjoy these 9 new screenshots.

Co-Op Classics: Vendetta

After having looked at some more recent fare in the past few weeks, Co-Op Classics will now focus its attention on the golden age of the arcade.  Back in 1991, the side scrolling brawler was the undisputed king of co-op.  TMNT: Turtles in Time, the Dungeons and Dragons series, and X-Men: The Arcade Game all came from this time period.  While reliving these old glory days with some friends via MAME, we stumbled upon a beat em up masterpiece: Vendetta.  I don't think I have played a more unintentionally funny game in my entire life!  After reading about it, I am sure you will agree. I won't focus on gameplay too much when talking about Vendetta.  What you see is really what you get.  You move, you punch, you kick, you beat up bad guys; it's very simple.  Vendetta truly stands out, though, in its over the top nature.  The characters, the boss battles, and the not so subtle innuendo all combine to crank it up to eleven, if you will.

One of These Things is Not Like the Other...

There's a big discrepancy between the two promotional items for upcoming video games that we are going to show you today.  Granted, one of them is quite expensive, a bit like the Halo 3 Helmet, but still, it's very cool.  Feast your eyes on the Amazon.com exclusive Gears of War 2 Lancer: Not too shabby, eh?  Pictures at Amazon sho...

This Week in Co-Op: Lego Star Wars II

The current LEGO video game franchise is quite good. The LEGO games are nicely balanced, with appeal to both young kids (who love LEGOs) and adults who grew up with the series that has been LEGO-ified (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc.). So, after a hectic week (so hectic that you will notice this column has been posted a day late), I figured some nice LEGO action was good for me. My game? LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. Did I have fun and relax? Oh yeah.

Co-Op Couples Wanted

If there's one thing every guy always dreams of, it's playing video games with his wife or girlfriend.  Ok, so maybe "dream of" isn't the right term, but you know what I mean fellas.  Dream might be gaming with your wife, her girlfriend and yourself...ahhh yeah.  Um..anyway, believe it or not there's a whole lot of couples out there that game together, and most of that gaming is done cooperatively.
