Physics-based Brawler Swordy Adds Co-Op Missions

The New Zealand based developer Frogshark has updated their first title, Swordy, with a new Missions mode that lets you and some friends battle together instead of against one another. The title first debuted in the Steam Early Access program as a multiplayer brawler only, but this new update is part of the developer's push to add single-player and cooperative elements to the game.

Prepare to die in lots of adorable ways next summer.

Cuphead Has Been Delayed Into 2017

As a child watching reruns of old Mickey Mouse and Popeye cartoons, I constantly thought to myself, "Boy, this aesthetic sure would lend itself to a co-op arcade shooter with a touch of occultic charm", and up until yesterday, my dream was almost within reach.  I could practically feel my grip tightening around my controller as a hand-drawn foe murdered me for the forty-ninth time.   Alas, it appears Cuphead's blend of 1930's animation and comically tough gameplay will be eluding us for a few months more.

Mods Coming To The Console Versions Of Farming Simulator 17

We're still a couple weeks away from what I assume is the highlight of every virtual farmhand's year (the release of a brand new Farming Simulator), and developer Giants Software is already delivering good news.  When Farming Simulator 17 hits PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on October 25th, all three versions will have access to player-created mods.

Cooperation makes the game.

Axe, Bow & Staff Co-Op Review

Axe, Bow & Staff has a straightforward name for a straightforward arcade RPG. Three characters, three weapons, three paths to take. Hit stuff to stay alive and collect coins to buy new stuff. It couldn't get any more core than that. But best of all, Axe, Bow & Staff is the kind of game that comes to life once you get a good co-op party ...

New Top-Down Shooter Infinite Desolation Greenlit on Steam

Far-flung Games' first title, Infinite Desolation, got the Greenlight last week and thus is making its way towards a full release on Steam sometime in 2017. This twin-stick shooter promises "deep character progression, exploration and looting, crafting, day-night cycles, environmental hazards, classic survival mechanics and world-jumping portals."

Our Weekend In Gaming: The Most Spectral Time Of The Year

October is well and truly upon us!  "But Enoch," I can hear you saying, "technically, October was upon us last weekend."  I hear those voices of dissent, and to them I say: shut up.  We play by my rules around these parts, and I have the final say on when things are or aren't upon us.  Plus, I had other things to talk about last weekend.  Specifically, car things.  More specifically, car things down under.
