"Football for Autophiles"

Play Soccer as a Monster Truck in Rocket League; Out TODAY!

Okay, so you've just finished watching the Women's World Cup finale explode in goals, and now you think soccer/football can't get any crazier. Normally you'd be right, and after all, the Shrimpers are currently enjoying the off season. Not to worry! The folks down at Psyonix have somehow out-crazied us with Rocket League, a game about flying cars playing future-football and occasionally exploding into burning husks. Finally, your dream of nailing that sweet corner as a minivan and then bursting into flames can be realized! Best of all, it's out tomorrow for both PlayStation 4 and Steam for $19.99.

Crank up the gas to "Democracy"

BROFORCE Explodes with Independence Update

The barbecue grill celebrating American Independence might have gone cold, but BROFORCE aims to keep it hot with a full canister of napalm. The Bros down at Free Lives dropped the Fat Man of all updates straight to PC's everywhere with the new "Independence Update," to celebrate the 4th of July. After all, these new Bros might scorch anything that isn't a bald eagle or the Constitution. Add them to your squad so you and your three Bros can punch terrorists into burning chunks of Democracy.

Shrimpers Forever Volume Seven: The Season Finale

The Southend sewage system runs deep beneath the city proper.  A man who swears he saw the Apaches cut down Custer himself roams the muck-lined thoroughfares.  Once another swig of gas station whiskey has made its way past his craw, he crouches low.  Pure silence and invisibility are needed if he is to catch his prey.  He takes a few steps forward and peers down the dimly lit tunnel.  The rat ten feet away from him has discovered a food source of its own and is currently in the throes of a certain kind of pleasure that only rodents can know.  The man's addled mind imagines the face of the rat replaced with that of his Bulgarian nemesis, Bozhidar Mitrev.  The two creatures lock eyes for a moment and snarl.

New Path Of Exile Expansion Is Due Out July 10th

You hear rumors every now and again, tales from the hinterlands told by old coots and fresh, blurry-eyed adolescents.  They speak of free-to-play games that are neither invasive nor sleazy.  Games that wish only to provide enjoyment and to recoup costs in parallel with their players' desire.  Whispers on the autumn wind speak the name of one such game.  If you listen closely, you can hear the voice of what some attribute to a young girl, others to a pleasant old man.  Whatever the case, the phrase they speak is clear:  "Path of Exile".

Don't worry, you'll be acquainted with the insides of a bipedal space-horror soon enough.

Get Acquainted With A Couple Red Solstice Classes Before Its July 9th Release

The more games released about space and the dangers therein, the more I start to wonder if Elon Musk and Co. should maybe focus on exploring more domestic arenas, like IKEA stores or North Dakota.  The Red Solstice, an 8 player tactical co-op shooter coming out of Early Access on July 9th, provides even more reasoning why space just ain't worth it.
