The more games released about space and the dangers therein, the more I start to wonder if Elon Musk and Co. should maybe focus on exploring more domestic arenas, like IKEA stores or North Dakota. The Red Solstice, an 8 player tactical co-op shooter coming out of Early Access on July 9th, provides even more reasoning why space just ain't worth it.
The sun is in the sky and the flowers are blooming. What better thing to do than stay indoors and play cheap games on your Xbox 360 and Xbox One? This week sees a reduction on a fair few titles including Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Burnout Paradise and Syndicate.
Last week, Evolve received a pretty large update on consoles. And not just any large update, but the kind that makes your finger ache from all the page scrolling in reading about it online. Update 4.0 hits us with an explosion of fixes and a mini patch note novel.
A single, scorching light focuses upon Chester McSlappy. His vision blanks for a moment as his eyes adjust, raising a hand to shield himself from the cascade of light. Donned in his finest tracksuit, fresh from the cleaners, with a belly full of vodka he may have snagged at a gas station on the way to this ever important board meeting, he hovers an easy three inches above the ground. Despite Southend United's recent success, and the wicked intoxication, his palms still sweat under the unseen gaze of the Board.
One of the new games shown during Nintendo's E3 Digital event was a new Legend of Zelda game, though not the one for which fans were probably hoping. The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is an upcoming 3DS title which allows three players to team up to do some puzzle solving by dressing up like Zelda and then forming totems of power. At least, that's the impression I got.
The big announcement prior to E3 was that Battleborn, Gearbox's let's just call it MOBA-style FPS, would have a roster of 25 characters when it sees releases later this year. During the fun week of E3, some of these characters were shown off in new gameplay footage.
Be it debris, aliens, or more aliens, there are things in space that need to be destroyed. At least, that's what the lineage of games leading up to SUPERVERSE would have you believe. You know, they may very well be right. Perhaps one day we'll be meandering out in the final frontier and come to the sudden realization that the universe really is out to get us, and the only way to ensure humanity's safety is to erase everything north of the mesosphere.
Early last year, we checked out the PC version of The Elder Scrolls Online, the first MMO set in the Elder Scrolls universe and came away quite pleased. While a console version was originally supposed to launch shortly after the PC version of ESO, it got pushed out quite a ways, and eventually Bethesda announced that the console version would arrive concurrent with a subscription-less update of the game known as Tamriel Unlimited. Similar to how Guild Wars has worked, Tamriel Unlimited gives you all of the game's content in return for purchasing the retail box.
"The Clance" as he is known in some circles, powerbombs onto the Patriot Mobile with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands announced this year at E3. Well, not really. Mr. Clancy is no longer with us, so he doesn't really have much say in the matter. But, that doesn't stop the immortal legacy of highly trained special agents sniping drug czars and leveling a city block to get the job done.
A new PAYDAY 2 character gets added to the roster today! Check out the fearless Russian bruiser, Sokol, now available for the Golden Grin Casino Heist.
I wonder how much longer we, as a species, can endure the "It's like ____ but with zombies" trope. It worked for Sniper Elite spicing up the hum drum of World War 2 by giving us zombie Hitler, and most recently developer Crazy Monkey studios is injecting Prohibition Era America with a rash of undeath in&n...
