Our (Past) Weekend In Gaming: The Destiny Of The Divine

Well, wouldn't you know it.  I straight up forgot to post our regularly scheduled Weekend in Gaming article.  To be honest with you all, I thought everything had been typed up and set to go, but apparently the insanity of the workweek took my mind into an alternate dimension.  To those of you who spent the weekend in an aimless shuffle, realities thrown awry by not knowing our gaming plans, I apologize.

Bioware Lays Out Plans for Co-Op Content in Mass Effect: Andromeda

Things are a little rough out there for some shooter games that aren't PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. While the entire game itself struggled with issues since its launch, ultimately leading to an announcement that there would be no further single-player content or updates, the one shining point to Mass Effect: Andromeda was its co-op mode. Sadly, it seems that despite what was stated in that previous post, that, too, is coming to an end.

Future Developments for Battleborn Have Ceased, Servers Still Running

There were some great ideas and nifty mechanics within Battleborn, but, ultimately, it seems like it was not destined to be a long-running franchise for Gearbox. In a forum post this weekend, Creative Director Randy Varnell stated that "there will be no more Battleplans and there is currently no planned content after the Fall Update." The lights may be on (for now), but nobody is home.
