New outfits equal new powers

Do Be Chicken, with Guacamelee! DLC Coming Soon

If you walk around in a Chicken Suit in the real world, the only power you will get is the ability to be stared at by strangers.  Thankfully, Guacamelee! is anything but the real world; instead it is a 2 player co-op side scrolling beat-em-up on PSN and Vita that now has new DLC in the form of three power providing suits.  Other new DLC will allow players to swap characters mid-level for the first time; Cock-a-doodle-doo.

Show love for Halo 4 inside AND outside of the game.

New Halo 4 Action Figures Will Include Exclusive DLC Skins

Truth be told, Halo 4’s multiplayer/co-op modes have quite the fashion statements about them. Fans of the game like to stand out from the crowd, or at least make their Spartan avatars look as cool as possible. To do that, weapon and armor skins are the thing to turn to. Well, if new skins are what you are searching for, look no further than the new line of Halo 4 actions figure that will include the new DLC along with them.

A lovely day for an apocalypse

Latest Defiance Update Brings a Plague

As usual, I'm behind in my DVR watching, so I don't know what happened in the Defiance TV show last night. I have been digging the Syfy series, mostly because it has played out much more like a Western than anything else. I've enjoyed the subtle nods to the MMO shooter counterpart, as well. The most recent server update brings a new element to the western/sci fi/apocalypse adventure: Zombies! Plaguers!

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Receives Free DLC Update

For those of you who didn't already know, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is quite the game. Developed by Neocore Games, Van Helsing was a surprise ARPG hit that goes toe to toe with such industry giants such as Torchlight 2 and Diablo 3. We did a review of the game last week, in case you wanted to check it out. One of the criticisms of the game was that it did not provide enough end game content, save for starting a new character on a different difficulty. Well, the folks over at Neocore seem to be reacting to community feedback, and have decided to offer a content update free of charge,

Co-Op Release Alert for the Week of 6.3.2013

E3 is a week away. This means a week of speculation, obvious predictions, and the always important cultivation of hype. This year's E3 should be interesting, as there are few co-op games on our schedule -at the moment- and of course, the new console showcase showdowns. But that's next week. What this week is lacking in releases it makes up for in expectations. Still, we have a little something for your inner super hero.

Skyward Collapse Co-Op Review

When a new Arcen Games title is released, I am immediately intrigued by it. What new take on a well-known genre have they done this time and does it work? Skyward Collapse is a turn-based strategy/"god" game where you are responsible for the development and existence of two warring factions: the Norse and the Greek. The catch? You have to prevent either faction from destroying the other. Oh, and you can't tell the people what to do. Free will really is problematic.
