McAfee Ain't Got Nothing on me

Retrovirus Co-Op Review

I have a special place in my heart for nerdy things related to old PC culture. Perhaps it reminds me of an innocent youth in front of my 386DX messing with config.sys and autoexec.bat files trying to determine if I should include or not include himem.sys. Still with me? If you are, then I've got a game that plays to those memories quite well. The game is call Retrovirus, from indie developer Cadenza, and it not only features plenty of geeky throwbacks and a full co-op campaign in 6DOF.

Infinity under attack.

Halo 4 Spartan Ops Season 1 - Episode 7 Overview, Episode 8 Preview

We're back with another co-op walkthrough of the latest chapter in Halo 4's Spartan Ops campaign.  We're up to chapter 7 this week, with the missions once again being mixed up quite a bit from the previous formula.  There's three brand new maps to play on, with the majority of them taking place aboard Infinity itself.  These missions also feature some of the most intense firefights we've seen to date in Spartan Ops.

If DLC delays had a face, I'd punch them too.

We'll be Punching Faces Online with Scott Pilgrim vs. the World in Less Than a Week

Back in August, Xbox Live's Major Nelson let slip that the long-requested but previously unannounced online co-op mode for Scott Pilgrim: vs. The World would actually be coming. Legions of comic and beat-em-up fans rejoiced... until the 'Online Multiplayer Wallace Pack' was pushed back to an undisclosed date less than two weeks later. At last, that date has been revealed: February 5th on PSN and the 6th on XBLA. Surely Major Nelson and Ubisoft aren't kidding this time, right?

LEAPing to a new launch date.

Fuse Pushed Back to Q2

Fuse has suffered a slight delay. The sci-fi-themed, third-person shooter was scheduled for a March release. Now it won't see the light of day until *gasp* April, May, or June. Oh. That's not so bad. Developer Insomniac Games confirmed the delay via their Twitter account. So don't freak out. It's a small delay during which Insomniac can polish the game until it's nice and shiny. The developer also tweeted that they have "TONS of new Fuse stuff coming starting next week." Heck yeah. If there's one thing I love, it's TONS of stuff.

Orion: Dino Beatdown Gets a Giant-Sized Sequel

Indie PC game Orion: Dino Beatdown is a co-op shooter filled with fantastic ideas like pitting space dudes against dinosaurs. Unfortunately, the actual game had so many awkward design decisions and mistakes, it felt like the developers hadn't played a FPS game in the last five years. After debuting to scathing reviews like our own, Orion received one major update - but the PR damage had already been done. Rather than continue cooking a dead turkey, developer Spiral Game Studios has decided to start fresh (after a fashion) by releasing a sequel: Orion: Dino Beatdown - Jurassic Edition.
