As if you needed a reason to go and play Far Cry 3, Ubisoft has released their latest patch, Version 1.03, the PS3 and PC versions earlier today. Xbox 360 users will have to wait a bit for it though.
A new deck pack is available for Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013. The Rogue's Gallery and Mana Mastery decks make up Deck Pack 3. It is available now through the Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Store, and Steam for 240 MSP, or $3. You can use these cards in the cooperative Two-Headed Monster mode as well as the other game types.
The "exclusive" Dead Space 3 demo was released yesterday on Xbox Live, that is if you managed to get a code for it. Last night Andrew and I tackled it head on, myself jumping into the boots of Isaac Clarke and Andrew playing as John Carver. While I'm a Dead Space veteran having played both the original games, Andrew has only brief familiarity with the series.
One week from now, gamers will be able to purchase Sega and Double Fine’s latest title, The Cave, through online stores. It might not be the biggest title this year, but it should pack quite the adventure for co-op players out there.
Today Far Cry 3 owners on the PlayStation 3 can download the exclusive two chapter co-op campaign called High Tides for the low low price of free. The two chapters span four to five missions each and there's four character skins for Mikhail, Callum, Tisha and Leonard.
Anarchy Reigns has finally made it stateside. This is a button mashing multiplayer brawler. You mash buttons and you brawl. That is the game's core concept. Alien Breed was remade into an episodic sequel (Alien Breed Evolution, Alien Breed 2: Assault, and Alien Breed 3: Descent) back in 2009, and were all solid co-op titles, especially for fans of the series. Now the series is seeing another remake, though this one is base squarely on the source material and is simply called Alien Breed. The game is coming to PSN next month and will be playable on both the PS3 and PlayStation Vita - with a bonus of cross platform co-op play and progress transfers between versions as well.
Back in November we reported that Resident Evil: Revelations would likely be coming to the Xbox 360 in the near future. The evidence came from the Korean ratings board, which often rates games before they're officially announced. If that wasn't enough proof, Xbox360Achievements.org has recently published the game's full Achievement list... So yeah, it's only a matter of time before the former 3DS exclusive pops up on consoles. We thought the original version had some fine co-op, so this is certainly great news.
A giant metallic machine more powerful than any human looms into view. Not the Power Loader from the end of the Aliens, but the PC required to run Aliens: Colonial Marines. To be fair, the specs are not particularly high and any serious PC gamer should be able to install and play this exciting looking 4 player co-op title out Feb 12th. Borderlands 2 is kicking off a new year with its third DLC release, “Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt.” We’re taken to a new continent called Aegrus that’s a little more like the swamps of Dagobah than the deserts of Tatooine. No lost pirate treasure or Ultimate Badass competition this time around, just some bonding with “naturalist” Sir Hammerlock through the hunting (and killing) of the indigenous wildlife. Leave it to some crazy professor once employed by Hyperion to spoil the fun.
