EA Reveals Battlefield 3 Co-Op Details, First Screens and Video

During the EA press conference at Gamescom 2011 the company showed off Battlefield 3's cooperative gameplay mode in a short realtime demo running on the PlayStation 3.  There was one short mission on display in which the two characters needed to rescue a hostage and get him to safety.  The co-op mode will support two players online and each mission is its own story with full dialogue as part of a larger co-op campaign.

Borderlands 2 Teaser Hypes Dual Wielding

Is anyone else sick of the Borderlands 2 hype, yet?  I was, until I saw this teaser trailer.  I'm amazed that I can fall in, and out, and then back in love again with a franchise so easily.  All I required was to see it in motion.  A jacked-up dwarf dual wielding machine guns helps, too.  Oh Borderlands 2, I was wrong to ever doubt you.  I'll never stray again.  Unless... Politics...politics...politics. Lots of it at play with Origin and Steam.

Battlefield 3 to Require Origin

The Battlefield 3 Blog has detailed EA's plans to require their new Origin download service and social platform as a requirement for Battlefield 3.  This includes both digital and retail copies of the game.  While there's been quite lot of chatter around such a requirement, mostly because PC gamers think only Steam should be allowed to do this, in reality it's a pretty ingenious marketing move on EA's part.

Co-op adventure game Hamilton's Great Adventure will be released Aug 24th on PSN

Hamilton's Great Adventure Dated for PSN

Indie adventure co-op game Hamilton's Great Adventure has finally gotten a release date for PSN: August 24th. Released on PC at the end of May, the game has been praised for its family-friendly gameplay and impressive level design as well as likened to an Indiana Jones type of puzzle game. Since the PC version only featured local 2-player co-op for protagonist Ernest Hamilton and his pet bird Sasha, it's likely the PSN version will only have local as well. Hamilton's is priced at $10 on PC, so hopefully the PSN version will be similarly priced.
