C&C Generals 2 Is Now Free to Play, Features Co-Op Skirmishes

EA have announced that Command and Conquer Generals 2 has gone from a full fledged retail title to a Free to Play game powered by the Frostbite 2 engine, the same engine that powers Battlefield 3.  The game is being developed by new Bioware studio, Bioware Victory.  In an interview with PC Gamer, the game's producer said that the new title will be without a single player campaign, and instead focus on competitive and cooperative skirmishes.

Pick up Dead Block for only 400 MSPs this week

Dead Block XBLA is Dead Cheap for One Week

This summer has had one of the worst droughts in living memory.  Not in terms of water, but in terms of quality new games.  Like a shambling corpse the game industry is beginning to awaken as the winter closes in.  What better way to fill in the time between now and Borderlands 2, but by purchasing Dead Block on xbla for only 400 Microsoft Points?

Spec Ops: The Line Co-Op Review

War has been glorified in videogame form since the days of Wolfenstein, perhaps though no game has brought it more mainstream than Call of Duty 2 did during the beginning of this console’s life cycle. Still despite the horror that truly exists on the battlefield, very few games have attempted the emotional toll it takes upon a soldier, instead choosing to make players into a one man army capable of saving the world most of the time. Spec Ops: The Line is doing things a bit differently.

Diablo 3 1.0.4 Patch Introduces Paragon System, Out Now

For the past week or so, Blizzard's been teasing the just-released 1.0.4 patch for Diablo 3, detailing many of the systems and class updates, but surprised us a bit when they dropped details on their take on alternate advancement: the Paragon System (Sorry, there's no Renegade counterpart). Once your character hits level 60, you'll begin accumulating experience towards your Paragon level, which bestows core stat increases and permanent boosts to your Magic Find and Gold Find ratings.

Yup, they are still wearing those silly masks.

8 Minutes of Co-Op Gameplay and Screens for Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel

Hot off the fresh trailer from Gamescom 2012, we've got the 10 minute demonstration of Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel from the EA Press conference.  It showcases the game's co-op gameplay as Alpha and Bravo deal some serious damage in what is claimed to be a much more mature game.  As long as they are wearing those ridiculous masks, it's hard for me to take that last line seriously.
