Exclusive Ascend: New Gods Video Preview

Last week, Co-Optimus broke the news that Ascend: New Gods will be coming to PC in addition to Xbox Live Arcade and Windows Phone. That information came from our enjoyable visit to the game's developer, Signal Studios in Kirkland, WA. It wouldn't be any fun to visit and just talk about the game, though; I wanted to see it in action!  Ian Scott, Ascend's lead designer, was kind enough to showcase some of the new environments and features Signal has added to the game since its June E3 demo. Check out the video after the break.

Warframe Alpha Trailer Teases Ninja Like Combat

Warframe may not accurately convey the combat and characters in which it contains.  The mental image I get of the free to play game from Digital Extremes is of some big hulking robot, but as the latest alpha trailer shows a warframe is anything but.  Can you say robotic ninjas?  There's no slow lumbering combat here, just fast paced third person action with plenty of explosions, swords, and co-op.

Look Out Behind You! New Dead Space 3 Screens Inbound

We've got a fresh batch of screens from Dead Space 3 to show off today.  The screens give you a glimpse of just how gorgeous the game is looking and just how gross the enemies actually are.  We also get a nice hi-resolution look at our two characters for co-op play.  Isaac Clarke is joined by John Carver, not to be confused with John Carter, as they fight off those pesky necromorphs once again.  While many scoff at the idea of a co-op survival horror game, it is completely optional, and from the our E3 preview, it's also looking completely badass.

BioShock Infinite Loses Intended Co-Op Modes in Mid Development

From its announcement back in 2010 and a trailer that captured the gaming world in approximately 15 minutes, practically everyone is looking forward to BioShock Infinite release. There is no getting around it. However, it looks as though some bad news came out of Irrational Games recently, as they have just announced that BioShock Infinite will no longer contain any of the intended co-op modes upon release.

Battle.net Accounts Compromised, Change Your Password ASAP

Blizzard have released a special statement regarding all Battle.net accounts stating that there was some sort of hack or "unauthorized illegal access" to a large quantity of US Battle.net accounts.  According to Blizzard no credit card or billing address information was obtained, but email addresses, encrypted passwords, and security questions were all stolen.  While the chance of the information actually being utilized is slim, Blizzard recommends you change your password immediately.

The Expendables 2 Co-Op Review

We never expect movie licensed video games to actually deliver. It is a longshot to think that the game would live up to the impact of the original movie, but this was the chance to take the excitement from the films and turn it into a great little action game. Sadly, The Expendables 2 video game is a complete waste of time, resources, and an insult to The Expendables name.

Firefall's Beta Yielding Huge Changes

If you've been in the Firefall beta, you've no doubt realized the game has gone through copious amounts of changes.  We've been watching the title for quite a while, seeing a giant booth at nearly every trade show we've been to in the past 3 years.  It seems though, that with a beta test of 500k users strong, the free to play game is shaping up to be something truly special.  While most game's launch a beta months before release, Red 5 decided to open up the process much earlier allowing them to make more substantial changes to the core game.
