New Borderlands 2 Trailer has less Wub Wub, More Wimoweh

It's almost time for another gaming convention, or in this case, comics and games.  The San Diego Comic Con kicks off today and with it comes some gaming goodness.  If the last full Borderlands 2 trailer we saw had too much DubStep for your eardrums to handle, perhaps you'd prefer the latest rendition - with a little Wimoweh.  Yes, this will be stuck in your head the rest of the day.

Everyone has their go-to co-op partner or crew. Tell us about yours!

Co-Optimus Community Voice for July 2012 - Who's in Your Crew?

Most people, myself included, have a group of friends who really click and spend the most game time together. I like to call this group "my crew" because, well, they're by my side through thick and thin. They're the guys or gals that churn fun times out of terrible games, and create smiling-so-hard-your-cheeks-hurt moments out of great games.

New Realms of Ancient War Trailer Covers the Basics

I've been missing out on Realms of Ancient War news. When I caught this video I was pleasantly surprised. It covers your basic ARPG elements: setting, classes, loot, and co-op. I don't know, something about the visuals is "doing it" for me. Maybe it's all the nice area of effect spells and powers that radiate from the characters throughout the video. I do enjoy swatting several flies at once.

Petition to Add Women to Aliens: Colonial Marines Multiplayer Triples Goal, Fans Want Strong Female Representation

In an E3 live chat Gearbox producer Brian Burleson let it slip that players will not be able to play as female Marines in Aliens: Colonial Marines. This came as a shock to fans of the series. Strong female characters are a hallmark of the Alien franchise. For Gearbox to not feature a female lead is more than a mere oversight, it's a tragedy.

The Expendables 2: Videogame Trailer is the End of All That Ever Was and Beginning of All That Ever Will Be

Don't look directly at the Dolph. He can kill-punch an elephant through WiFi. This new trailer helps prove the fact that The Expendable 2: The Videogame is not just a figment of my testosterone ravaged imagination. I may have written an exclamatory post announcing this game a few weeks ago. In my constant sleep deprived state I rarely know what's real anymore. Check it out and tell me if your experience is the same as mine.

Spelunky Co-Op Review

Spelunky is a charming, super-addictive platformer which has earned a reputation as a tough, but rewarding old-school gaming experience. It has been available on the PC, free of charge, for almost four years. Recently it made the jump to the XBLA, where it has received updated graphics, new secrets, co-op play, and more. All of this comes at a cost, of course. Is Spelunky a treasure worth the price of admission? Find out in our Co-Op Review.

SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance is Now Available

Today I'm incredibly proud to announce that SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance, a side project I've been working on for the better part of the past year, is now available to download on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel.  The game is a four player local co-op twin stick shooter with plenty of other elements mixed in like an RPG class system and dozens of upgrades to tweak how your ship handles and performs.  With 36 missions, 9 survival missions, and a free play mode there's tons of gameplay to keep you coming back for more.

Phantasy Star Online 2 to Bring Monster Hunting to North America and Europe

Phantasy Star Online was probably the first online multiplayer action-RPG for consoles. Thousands of SEGA Dreamcast and GameCube players enjoyed teaming up as hunters on the harsh alien planet of Ragol. Phantasy Star Universe, Zero, and Portable have since followed, but a true sequel has long remained as elusive as a blue rappy... Until now. SEGA has officially confirmed Phantasy Star Online 2 will see a western release! Several variables - such as whether both the PC and Vita versions will be brought over - remain unknown, but we do have an announcement trailer and screenshots to share with you today.
