It's been a pretty slow summer on the MMO front. The two biggest pieces of news that I've found have been the Secret World launching and Guild Wars 2 getting a release date. Let's unravel those now, shall we?
Building one's rage has been an important part of fighting games for decades. Be it the old school throwing of the control pad after you lose, or the more modern take of an in game rage bar allowing you to unlock special moves. In a pique of genius, Capcom have combined both inner and outer game rage by charging $20 to unlock 12 characters for Street Fighter X Tekken already housed on the disc.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS is less than two months from release, which means it should be pretty much done development-wise. In certainly looks that way, judging from the huge batch of screenshots Nintendo released this week. You can tell the green guy's loving the modern cooperative gaming renaissance.
Well, this is pretty self-explanatory. If you have save game data on your system from the original Borderlands, you'll unlock exclusive heads and skins in Borderlands 2. Can you name the heads? I bet you can! I'm going to Gunzerk this game so hard.

Holy cow! DLC has launched for Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor. I'm as surprised as you are. The game wasn't exactly a roaring success, but it does have a few charming quirks. Map Pack 1 quietly hit Xbox Live on July 3rd. It offers two cooperative missions for 240 MSP ($3). I rarely pass up the opportunity to throw money away, so I powered up my Kinect, moved some furniture, and took my Vertical Tank for a spin in new territory.
Robot Entertainment just announced that their upcoming action/tower defense hybrid sequel (Orcs Must Die! 2) will feature a brand new mode, available in both single-player and co-op. Entitled "Endless Mode," players will face unending waves of orcs with the game only ending when the players are defeated. The mode will be playable across ten different levels (5 campaign levels and 5 original, Endless-only levels).
Let's face it, there are about a million MMOs out there, all vying for a slice of PC gamers' time. So you could be forgiven for not having played Dungeon Fighter Online, the one and only MMO beat-em-up game. That said, the series comes to Xbox Live Arcade next week as Dungeon Fighter LIVE: Fall of Hendon Myre. Time to brush up on your Dungeon Fighter knowledge - and what better way to do so than watch a trailer detailing the series history from 2005 to present? Filled with not only gameplay footage but also live-action and anime sequences, this 'History' trailer is definitely worth a watch.
Episode 8 of Good Co-Op Bad Co-Op has the team in an exciting game of cat and mouse as they exit the gentlemen's club and chase down a wanted fugitive to shake him down for some information.
Dead Nation has received patch 1.08, which, if you own the base game - isn't terribly exciting. But...BUT...if you own the Road to Devastation DLC the patch is going to add a new game mode called Arcade as well as new concept art to unlock.
The Behemoth, the guys that brought you the legendary co-op side-scroller, Castle Crashers, have in the works their newest title, BattleBlock Theater. This game is as classic a modern, arcade, co-op, puzzle platformer will ever get, so of course people are excited to see what this game holds for us. But what gave Castle Crashers its mega fanbase wasn’t only through its gameplay alone, but also through its quirky visual style as well.
