Resident Evil 6 Brings New and Old Faces Across Three Separate Co-Op Campaigns

E3 2012: Resident Evil 6 Hands-On Co-Op Impressions

Resident Evil 6 had the largest presence in the Capcom booth. After swooning over the new design of Dante in Devil May Cry and checking out the big mech in Lost Planet 3, Locke and I had the opportunity to dig right into some two player co-op. Resident Evil 6 boasts three separate campaigns and we were able to sample two of them.

E3 2012: Video Games Live - A Mixed Bag of Marketing and Music

On Wednesday night the Co-Opticrew headed to the Nokia Theater to relax a bit after 3 solid days of hard work.  We were set to see Video Games Live, a concert which features music from various video games played with a full orchestra and mixed with visuals from said game.  The show was created by industry veteran Tommy Tallarico, a video game composer himself of over 250 games including Earthworm Jim, Prince of Persia and Advent Rising.  Tallarico also used to host a TV Show on the G4 Network, which you would think would make him the perfect host for something like this.  You'd think.

Amazon Has a Special Page For The Biggest E3 Trend

After the press conferences and during the show, the Co-Opticrew kept commenting on how many games coming out this year have a bow in them.  It seemed everywhere we turned we saw another iteration of a bow weapon in a game.  We're not talking just about hunting games, we're talking AAA titles like Crysis 3, Farcry 3, Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell: Black List.  There was another trend too - helicopters.  Whether it was Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Resident Evil 6 or others - the bladed aerial vehicle was definitely a trend.  Some games even managed to include BOTH.

Beyond Co-Op: June 3rd through June 9th, 2012

It's okay, we love them just the same. As we all know, this week was a big week, what with E3 and all. There are doubtless many other stories that are equally important from this week, but these were a few that caught my eye.
