Dead Island Riptide Announced, Details Coming This Summer

Deep Silver have announced a sequel to one of last year's greatest co-op games, Dead Island.  The new game is called Dead Island Riptide and it's in development for PC and consoles by TechLand.  Other than that we have absolutely no other details about the game, but the publisher promises a lot more details this summer.  We're guessing the big reveal will be at Gamescom in Germany later this year.  Obviously because of the late reveal, don't expect the game to be available this year, but instead move it into an already crowded 2013.

We discussed the revamped Escalation mode while I got some hands-on time with a few single player missions.

Luckily, it seems people who purchase the system will have some strong co-op waiting for them at or near launch. Let's go through what I saw.
