IndieFort Bundle Offers Chances for Cooperative Gaming with Wanderlust

One of the more popular ways indie devs are getting their games out there in front of an ever growing audience of gamers is to team up with a few other developers (some might say they are cooperating) to offer their game as part of some form of bundle deal. GamersGate.com is offering their own indie game bundle, the IndieFort, starting today and going until next Friday, and in their bundle there's at least one cooperative game that caught our eye: Wanderlust: Rebirth.

For April's Co-Optimus Community Voice, we want to know what you think of Kickstarter as a means to fund games. Are you enjoying the studio tour after donating your kid's entire college fund? Is evil lurking in the shadows? Fire up your blog and tell us what you think. Well written posts will be featured on the front page throughout the month, so make sure you use correct spelling and grammar. Images or videos are always a plus. Don't forget to start your title with "CCV" so we don't miss it.

This Week in Co-Op: Late Night Robot Apocalypsin'

That's me, P. Walter Tugnut. Well, my version of Mr. Tugnut. I'm just cruising around my RV with my golden jet pack, sad and alone. My pink hair pick brings little joy to my supafly afro of gloom. My toned calves look magnificent in my fishnet stockings, but there's no one around to compliment them. I do have a giant mini-gun to keep me company, but alas, I've grown weary of her limited supply of ammo. You see, all my friends have gone to bed. I'm a West Coast gamer with an East Coast friends list.

Mari0: It's Super Mario Bros. It's Portal. It's Co-Op. It's Awesome

Earlier this month we told you about Mari0, a Super Mario Bros. and Portal hybrid from indie game developer Stabyourself.net. Yup, it's the old Super Mario Bros. with portal guns, user created content, a map editor, and four player local co-op. It's exactly what it sounds like. I downloaded the game here and took it for a spin. I have to say, it's a pretty good time, especially for a free download. The portals worked well and it's saturated with nostalgia.

Borderlands 2 Hands on Impressions

A few weeks ago, Gearbox invited Co-Optimus into NYC to check out a build of Borderlands 2. We were told we'd have plenty of hands on time with the game as well as a chance to chat with some of the developers. Tally and Nick took to the task of this brave journey, playing the game for nearly two hours to bring you the latest impressions. Here's what they had to say.
