Classic co-op fun.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Is Headed To Nintendo Switch

These days, classic games are constantly being remastered and reproduced for players to enjoy on the current generation of consoles.  In spite of the occasionally overwhelming flow of these types of titles, it's always nice to see hallmarks of the gaming industry like Sonic the Hedgehog 2 come back to the fore.  Given that the acclaimed Sega Genesis title likely introduced a number of our readers to the concept of co-op gaming, I'm sure there's a sizable community that's excited for the chance to relive that magic.

HyperX releases a Pulsefire mouse with 11 buttons and a mouse pad with lighting effects

HyperX Pulsefire Raid Mouse and FURY Ultra Mouse Pad Review

At the end of my last HyperX mouse review for the Pulsefire FPS Pro, I said: “The only other thing I could wish for is another couple of buttons to make the FPS Pro a little more MOBA and MMO-friendly, but that’s honestly a minor quibble.” Well, it seems like HyperX heard my plea, since the new Pulsefire Raid is seeking to fix my final quibble with the Pulsefire line of HyperX mice, a line that I’ve seen consistently iterate and grow over the past few years.

The “Spring 2020” Sequel Sees No Solid Release Date

Dying Light 2 Delayed

Techland, developer of the original Dead Island and the well-received 2015 zombie-smashing/parkour hybrid Dying Light, took to the web recently to announce that Dying Light’s sequel, Dying Light 2, has had its release date pushed back from ”Spring 2020” window. Unfortunately that was the extent of the information provided, as the developer only went on to say that more information will be announced “in the coming months.” Would-be zombie killers will have to sit patiently and await further word on why the delay took place and when the game will see the light of day.

The skies have never been sneakier.

Sky Rogue Is Out Now On Xbox One

Sky Rogue, the hottest procedurally generated flight combat game around, is now available to anybody with one of those fancy Xbox Ones.  The title was originally released on PC in July of 2015, and in 2018, the folks at Fractal Phase were gracious enough to bring the game's roguelite sensibilities to living rooms worldwide via the Nintendo Switch.  Now, thanks to its release on Microsoft's flagship console, that availability expands even further.

Our Weekend In Gaming: A Mountain Of Games

The Co-Opticrew has a whole heapin' pile of video games to play this weekend.  We'll likely be preparing the base camp this evening, with the ascent coming on Saturday morning.  Luckily for us, the peak of Video Game Mountain has essentially the same oxygen makeup and temperature setting as whatever's in our offices or living rooms.  I'm not expecting any injuries, but I've sent the staff an extremely thorough list of breathing exercises and hand stretches to ensure nothing goes awry.
