DOOM and DOOM 2 Re-Releases Received Quality Of Life Updates

If you’ve been waiting for an update to your favorite Hell-ravaging shooter from the 1990’s, now is your time! Whether you prefer 1993 original DOOM or its 1994 sequel, DOOM II, both games have been re-released on modern consoles and received a new quality-of-life update that brings the framerate up to a smooth, modern 60 frames per second (FPS). Along with this aesthetic change, the update has brought the ability to quick save your progress and play community-created content and add-ons. Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! Enters Early Access Later This Month

There is a third entry in the Cook, Serve, Delicious series - appropriately named Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! - making its way onto the PC in just a couple weeks via Early Access on Steam and GOG.com. The title will eventually see a full release on that platform as well as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but if you just can't wait to man your own food truck and start cooking with a buddy, then you'll want to set a reminder on your device of choice for January 29, 2020.

New Gameplay Trailer for Magic: Legends Shows Two Playable Classes

The first gameplay trailer for Magic: Legends dropped this week, giving us our first glimpses of two of the (initially) planned five playable classes - the Geomancer and the Mind Mage. Much of the action has a distinct Diablo-vibe to it, though there are a couple things in the trailer that help to root it in the Magic universe.

Fixes for CPU Usage and Corrupt Save Data Are Incoming for Monster Hunter: World

The Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter: World finally arrived on PC last week (4 months after its console debut), and the initial response was not great. For some players, the game was nearly unplayable as they noticed their CPU usage went through the roof, while others were greeted with a message that the title was unable to read their existing save data and would they like to create new data (the official answer to that is: NO!) Capcom was quickly made aware of these issues and the Monster Hunter development team has been working on fixes. A couple of days ago, the official Monster Hunter Twitter account let everyone know that an update will be out soon to address both of these problems.

If You Missed It: Marvel's Avengers Delayed to September

If you had May 15, 2020 circled on your calendar and have just been counting down the days until you'll be able to play Marvel's Avengers, go ahead and get your correction fluid, remove that circle, and put a new one on September 4, 2020 (maybe use pencil). Crystal Dynamics announced via Twitter that they need a little more development time "focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards our fans expect and deserve."

Children of Morta Stream Recap and Impressions

With the hustle and bustle that comes with last few months of the year, there are cases where good co-op games slip under our radar. Children of Morta absolutely falls into this category. Fortunately, we took some time this past Monday to rectify that and if you haven't checked out this action-RPG rogue-lite, then now's a good time for you to rectify it as well.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Working Vacation

The bosses are all gone this weekend, so the Co-Opticrew is gonna get wild.  After we finish some errands and take care of a few lingering work items, that is.  Also, there are some minor repairs that probably need to be taken care of.  I'm pretty sure there are a few bills that need to be paid as well.  We may as well run to Home Depot while we're out, just in case we need anything.  After that's all done, though?  Buck. Wild.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Getting A New Co-Op Mode via DLC

Nintendo released a 20-minute Direct earlier today that was focused on their Pokemon franchise. While there is a remake of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue/Red Rescue Team games on the way as Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, the co-op specific news we're interested in is the new DLC that's coming to Pokemon Sword and Shield this year via the $30 Expansion Pass.
