When "Cross Media" becomes "Media"

Defiance (The Game) Continues Where Defiance (The Show) Left Off

Ladies and gentlemen of semi-apocalyptic America, Defiance (by which I mean the TV show that aired on the Syfy Channel), is no more. The "mixed to average" rated television series survived only three brief seasons before getting the cancellation ax by its ruthless corporate overlords. The characters and stories of the show will not fall into the deep, deep abyss of forgotten television just yet, however. Defiance lives on in Defiance (the game), as the newest patch continues the plot from the now cancelled series.

Bandai Namco Bringing Necropolis to Xbox One and PlayStation 4

Harebrained Schemes, the developer behind the most recent Shadowrun titles, announced last week that it is teaming up with Bandai Namco to will the rogue-like action title Necropolis to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. While the expanded number of platforms is a good thing, the downside here is that the release date has now been pushed back to "summer 2016."

As the campaign is getting close to the end, a very important stretch goal is in sight: online co-op.

Name changed to "Warzone Firefight"

Firefight Mode Will Return in Halo 5: Guardians

Fans of the Halo series may recall a particularly fun horde mode in Halo 3: ODST called "Firefight." Unlike many other games with similar features out there at the time, what made this one so special was the inclusion of the Halo Skull modifiers, which would change things up a bit every five rounds. Folks (ourselves included) have been clamoring for this beloved mode to return, and it looks like we'll finally get our wish soon.
