Just think of all the new ways you'll die!

Check Out The New Gameplay Trailer For Dark Souls 3's "Ashes of Ariandel" DLC

"This is it," you said to yourself back in April.  "One final time into the Dark Souls breach, and then I'm off the stuff for good."  You did it all.  You deciphered the obtuse lore.  You gathered the most hard-to-reach items.  You downed even the toughest of foes.  You died, over and over and over, and at long last, you emerged from the misty land of Lothric, battered and scarred, but all the better for it.  You were finally done.

They're brand new...ish!

Two More Monsters Added To Evolve Stage 2's Co-op Mode

Evolve Stage 2's latest update, 2.11, has been delivered to the swarming masses, and with it came a couple more foes for the co-op crowd to mercilessly hunt down - the Gorgon and the Meteor Goliath.  Neither is new, of course, as the duo was available in The-Game-Of-Which-We-Do-Not-Speak, but it sure is nice to have some more options when setting up a match in the game's new "Coop vs AI" queue.

New MMO Action RPG Guardians of Ember Coming to Early Access

Developer Runewaker has their sights set on their next MMORPG title: Guadians of Ember. This time around, the title will fall into the "hack 'n slash" territory (as opposed to the more straightforward RPG mechanics of their previous games) and allow a group of players to take on missions together, explore the world, and participate in public events.

Our Weekend In Gaming: One Unstoppable Attorney

At long last, the Co-opticrew has another chance to relax and reflect on what seems to have been quite the busy week.  More and more, the staff here is returning to its local gaming roots, indicating our growing desire for face-to-face interaction.  Through couch co-op, board games, and roleplaying games, we've trended back towards the chance to sit down with a few friends, chat about nothing in particular, and work towards a common goal.  Perhaps that will change in the future (especially once VR co-op becomes more commonplace), but for now, we're mostly content to sip on our beverages of choice and talk smack about the lines of code that oppose us.
