Corrected: X-Men Arcade Release Info, Screenshots and Pricing Revealed

Earlier this week we told you that X-Men Arcade, Konami's re-release of the classic title featuring 6-player online co-op, would be an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive for two months.  But it seems that's not entirely true, as Konami has confirmed to Joystiq the game is releasing next week on the 14th for the PlayStation Network and on the 15th on Xbox Live Arcade.

Killing Floor Wishes You A Very 'Twisted Christmas'

It's that time of year... when you're getting pretty sick of all the holiday cheer.  Why not take out your frustrations on the whole "glad tidings" bit with some good old fashioned zombie killing?  Killing Floor is bringing its players the "Twisted Christmas" event, starting December 14 and running through January 4.  All of the normal zombies and other enemies will be replaced by holiday themed specimens, and there's even a brand new level: Santa's Evil Lair.  (I suppose we all knew deep down inside that those elves were a bit diabolical.)  If that isn't enough for you, there are new achievements, including 13 Christmas themed ones, taking the total up over 130!

Harms Way is the Co-Op Friendly Unlock Xbox Finalist

The Doritos-sponsored Unlock Xbox indie game contest has been narrowed down to two finalists, and one of them has co-op. Harms Way is a racing game where you actually compete in cooperative teams of two - one drives and the other utilizes sniper turrets on the track to take out bridges, open shortcuts, and obliterate the other racers. It looks like good fun, playable in four-player splitscreen or online.

Putting Fun First - Operation Flashpoint: Red River

Quite possibly its most annoying aspect, the lack of player customization options in Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is being addressed in its sequel, Operation Flashpoint: Red River. Not only will players be able to create loadouts from scratch and earn unlockable weapons and attachments, but your character progession will be persistent between the game's campaign (playable in co-op) and two other co-op modes.

Rush Some Scores in Score Rush

We enjoy us some indie games here at Co-optimus. I've had myself some good times with co-op games I've purchased on the Xbox Live Indie Games (XBLIG) channel. Today Xona Games launched Score Rush on said channel, a game described as "an intense 2D, four-player, dual-stick, bullet-hell, score-running shooter." Features include unlockable difficulty modes, boss battles, and power-ups for both your main weapon and your ship. The goal? To get a crazy-high score, of course!

Xbox LIVE Arcade Games for the Holidays Trailer Showcases Co-Op Games

Looks like some co-operative wishes will be fulfilled this holiday season.  Microsoft is showing off some new co-op games in a a trailer for Xbox Live Arcade Games.  A World of Keflings, the sequel to A Kingdom for Keflings, and ilomilo, a unique 3D puzzler, have co-op play.  Raskulls may look co-op, but it is actually a competitive racing platformer.  What's interesting is the character crossover between games.  You can dress as, or play as, other characters in each game.  All three games have their own distinct art style, so the different iterations of each character are intriguing.  You can demo ilomilo now, but you will have to wait until December 22nd to get your hands on the others.
