Disney hinted that Marvel characters will be coming in the version sometime in the future, but no release date has been announced at this time. The very brief trailer, "Get Ready to Assemble" showcases a cutscene where Captain America's shield ricochets around the Toy Box mode, startling the other Disney characters. I have no doubt in my mind that this means, besides the Captain, members from The Avengers team will be coming to the version.

Two of the main characters from the show, Phineas and Agent P (also known as Perry the Platypus) will finally be released as Toy Box Pack this April 1st. Phineas is widely known for his knack for inventing things, never-ending optimism, and his weirdly shaped head, while Agent P is known for his super sleuthing, martial arts, and his 1940's fedora. Their character's unique abilities reflect these things perfectly. Phineas will carry around his trademark baseball firing gun and Agent P will throw his hat around like a Tron Identity Disc. Additionally, the town where the show takes place, Danville, will also be included in the pack as two new skydome and terrain Powerdiscs. In January 2014, Disney announced that Disney Infinity had sold three million units worldwide, pumping up the studio's operating income by $46 million and securing the game as one of the best-selling titles of 2013. This was partially due to the heavy use of expansion packs that sell for around $30, each one themed around a Disney franchise. Players nab the expansions, "scan" the toy figures into the game and unlock tons of new characters and content to play around with. Nothing new to the gaming world, but when you combine Disney stuff with real toys and allow characters from Monsters Inc. and Pirates of the Caribbean to run around together, suddenly everybody's interested.
